^ SS 06 will always be the best for me as well! But this is still remniscient of it and overall, I like this collection a lot. Although I would like to have seen a few high heels in there.

I LOVE the setting, even if it may be the tiniest bit tacky...!!
And the collection, I would have loved to have seen high heels in the mix, dresses just look so much better paired with a heel! And i love parts of the collection, but on the whole, not HC enough for me..

I was expecting sth more but I have to say Lagerfeld made a realy nice collection. Especially I like those little dresses. Agree that ss2006 was the best. Yesterday I found on Youtube movies about Chanel HC fw2004. It was kind of documentary about creating that collection, from the skatches to the runway show. Amaizing videos. If someone want to see them PM and I'll give you a link.

i think the clothes are beautiful, but its so minimal and so ...boring
haha i mean i really love all his other clothes expecially his pre-fall, but seriously for haute couture i expected something more risky and interesting like dior.

The flats dress down all these outfits which makes them look less coutorish to me,but overall it's a nice collection.

Some of it is really pretty and girly, but too simple and boring to be couture. My favuorite is the shoulderless, layered silver dress.

I have to admit its probbaly the best Chanel collection Ive ever seen. It's girly but not too girly like he always does it.

Well, I'm thrilled that he didn't smother every evening and party dress in diamante, embroidery, feathers, pom-poms, rosettes and cabachons for a change.

Same! However, there are some parts that were hideous, partcularly the final "bride look" and the long grey dress with puff elbow length sleeves (look no 35 I think). I also did not like the leggings or one of the high neck ruffle shirts. A few of the other dresses/jackets & skirt pairs were not so good - but not too terrible either. Lots of the otufits would also have looked way better in heels too

Having said that some of the dresses were gorgeous, (I love Cocos long black gown especially ) as well as many of the skirt being amazing too! It is minimal for HC, but I would much rather Karl did minimal that try and get all adventurous and "original" on us - which usually results a hideous mess
