I agree, Gius. The collection may not have the most groundbreaking shapes or the usual cheesiness of Phoebe and Stella but I think it's gorgeous in every way, especially in the details you mention.. it's funny how the techniques used here are so similar to those of the S/S 07 collection yet the result is completely different but both are still very Chloé in their own period of time.anyway design-wise, i think the collection's quite interestingthe way he's using asymmetrical patchwork, the many layers, exposed edges for texture, and just the way things drape over the body by hanging from a tie or something
i think someone interested in design could learn a lot from Paulo's work

lots of it.. some very interesting pieces.def. total catfight. chunky wood heel platform flying.i dont know if these two girls would be friends, you know what i mean? they're from different sides of the track.
Last season's Chloe was so badly bashed on tfs, yet net-a-porter and Barney's are now featuring it in a big way, and it's influenced a number of SS08 collections, from COS to Martine Sitbon. No one complained that it wasn't gorgeous, just that it wasn't "Chloe"! Well, when Nicholas G started at Balenciaga with the surreal frills and feathers, it wasn't Balenciaga either. Or Galliano's early days at Dior. Or Mccartney at Chloe. I'd rather judge the designer by his/her talent than by some idea of a particular "style" the house is supposed to produce into infinity.
