i found this a hard pill to swallow..actually after opening the thread..i said to myself "did they fire her?", it was that much of a turnaround...

whatever happened to "positivity" and "stronger femininity"? i guess "tacky" is the new sobriety. seriosly, what a volte face! i see a good dress here and there, but that's with any collection..gosh it just looks cheap

next season will be new and diff..judging from her turnaround nest season will be very chloe like..but who cares variety is the spice of life...

well, i'm sitting here and thinking that thi caused the right kind of controversy..i was finding myself not being able to get excited over anything in milan....even my favorite marni and prada were lazy..and even though i don't like this, it got my adrenalin moving...

^ my guess is neither, it's just a way of cutting the jacket/bag/shoe

It doesn't look at all like Gucci's archive stuff, and it would be very expensive so I doubt they'd do a whole new line for the pieces.

The bag is cool, but the jacket just has too much going on.

The problem with this is a RTW from Gucci didn't really exist before Tom. Gucci was just handbags. There wasn't a collection by Gucci like there was from Chanel or Dior, so the houses RTW design identity is the one Tom created.

Somewhat, but I remembre Freida referring to the archives and stuff...I thought she was referring to the prints that Gucci may have used before..lol i dunno but yea Tom did put Gucci on the map, but he's gone so I guess they have to move on. I just want some sex appeal and great clothing. The YSL ads arent even as sexy ne more

all right, i sort of take it back...upon seeing the entire collection, i can confidently say that the pisitivity is definetly there. i like the fact that it's not "melncholy", which is a word that ford liked to use so much.

...would have loved to see her expand on the matching dress/tights combo...
...the jersey dresses at the end were great..but some pieces when on their own are still very very questionable

If the clothes have to be about a free, aggressive sexuality, representing varied viewpoints could make it fresh. Why does a woman have to scream sex? What is Gucci for the woman who's sex life is so good that she doesn't have to let you know about it through her shoes or her lame pants? I admire how left of center it is but there is a lack of sophistication that wasn't done for the sake of rebellion
--it's just plain absent. Rarely are people wealthy enough to lie around on their backs all day and if they are something tells me they wont be buying this stuff.

There are a few dresses and suits worth mentioning, but apart from that I second birdofparadise. People simply will whisper at everyone walking in with a tacky, sl*tty dress with skirts that short. There's no denying.

I like 4-5 outfits there..the dress freja is wearing for example, but there rest just looks like those clothes at second hand you could get for 3 Euros ! Please..the colours are just wrong and the fur is ugly. What a waste.
