Just got back from the H&M in Boston. I was second in line at around 9 am. By the time the store opened the line was up to 50 people. Only 4 of us guys though so zero competition hahaha. I ended up spending around $600 and got:

black cord pants
black dress pants
black blazer (matches the pants and is what karl's wearing in the ads)
double breasted peacoat (very good deal!!!)
2 ties (black cord tie and striped tie)
white dress shirt
leather messenger bag
sunglasses

prices were very much along the lines of Gap so it wasn't a huge deal to pick up a lot. I was pissed to hear that the US stores did not get the jeans due to some holdup in customs. Dammit!!! The cuts were quite slim and I had to actually go up a size for the cords. Pants were slimmer than Slimane's cut for Dior Homme... I'm not complaining though!

TONs of stuff still there for the men at H&M Boston (downtown crossing) when I left around 11. I didn't get the liquid Karl though I found it to be hilarious. Some interesting hat (ski cap put on top of a semi-bowler cap) was there too. Also for men:

lagerfeld etched buckle belt
contrast zipper cardy
multiple turtlenecks
a couple tux shirts (one is blue striped, the other white... maybe a black one?)
the tie ring
the leather around-the-neck necklace thing
silver corduroy tie
karl face tee (white) (these were cut kinda big)

I was very happy with the cut of most of the items. It really surprised me. I did not see jeans (still pissed about that one) and that women's sequined jacket was not there either (just wanted to see what it looked like), but all in all quite a shopping experience. I guess I'll have to check ebay for the jeans from the UK.

I went after passing my written drivers licens test , so I didn't arrive at H&M (Amagertorvet) untill 12:30..where most stuff was gone..but a nice sales assistant told me when they would be getting a new load..and I came back (after having visited H&M City Arkaden..that place had btw only very little..), and I got to try on the dress Softie bought albeit in the pale pink (no good on me unfortunately).

well, i think this is the one. it looks like the one that i got. i had my eye on the one you bought too but i was too slow. the leftovers were size 40 and up

Mettchen, the dress in that colour that Softie bought you can get that at H&M Fields..they had a ton of them..and hardly anybody went there for the "Karl Lagerfeld special". They had tons of mens shirts too (so I tried both mens and womens shirts..but none were particularly "bump-friendly").

The dress I wanted to try on was the short black slightly empire-ish dress with thin stripes of lace..but that was gone..oh well..I got pissy with Karl and went ahead and bought a pair of black H&M maternity pants instead.

I saw plenty of Liquid Karl perfume at H&M (Amagertorvet), so they might still have some tomorrow.

people were just grabbing things without even thinking!
i got 2 pairs of jeans (i have a lot to say on their designer detail at another stage)
a black and white zip down cardigain thing
a leather bag

im going back tomorrow for more......i simply couldnt get to all the things i wanted without knocking everything else over.

Leyla went to the womens and said there were some gorgeous pieces but i didnt dare even venture down there.

Please for your own sake don't go to oxford st..that place is madness..Karl or no Karl.. try checking out which store carry Karl for H&M on H&M's own url...there are bound to be far less busy places for the stuff in London.

And to answer your question..its better than H&M in quality..but only a few great pieces..which ofcourse are the ones snapped up the quickest, the jeans looked nice..ofcourse I didn't try them on..and the shirts were good quality for the money, and likewish were the dresses tho' I wasn't all WOW about them (maybe because the dress I wanted was gone )

hmm just called bond st and the guy said they do have sizes left-you know that horrible thing after a sale when they just have things like size 18?? he said they have 8's and 10's there. so i may just go to that one. i want the one button black blazer with the high collar.

I thought I wanted that sequin jacket but once I tried it on it was an immediate pass....

I picked up the black blazer with silver cuff/chain closure, the black/peach chiffon dress with lace detailing, a black tuxedo shirt with the big cuffs and collar (I'm a sucker for that.. ) and a black pleated chiffon skirt. Nice pieces that fit very well and a good addition to the wardrobe..

Very happy with the purchases. The Toronto store was busy but not as crazy as when it opened a month ago. Women were kind of fighting and peering into boxes before staff could put them on the racks but it was pretty civil! I'm glad I got there early.

OT, but what I'm really biting my nails for instead of Karl Lagerfeld for H&M is the NIKE HUNTER FORBES DUNK SB!!! I'm waiting to see if my friend can pick these up, they're selling out all over the place and the suspense is killing me. I also have a bad feeling the price is gonna skyrocket within a few days.
