I think the point is Hollywood train wrecks and their hangers-on seem to be prone to this endless, totally ridiculous sort of thing- none of it based in any sort of reality...It does make you wonder how much of all this is Lindsay and her problems and how much of it is just part of their strange culture- that you can announce meaningless 'deals' with no basis in fact and people eat it up and put it on their radio, TV shows and websites... Looks like the Lohans have plenty of company in their fantasy world...

We tracked down the embattled starlet at the swanky Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday. No, she wasn't checking in for a getaway weekend, but we can exclusively reveal...

She was there to shoot a Creative Coalition PSA in support of military families. LiLo showed up around 4:30 pm. with three friends in tow and had a coffee in the lobby bar before heading downstairs to do the shoot. Linds quickly met with producers to go over her lines before being ushered inside the small room to film.

Lohan looked relaxed, wearing black leggings, chunky wedge shoes and a cream-colored long-sleeve top with a bright blue purse. Her hair was pulled back in a bun with a full face of make-up. Lohan seemed to be taking the shoot very seriously even taking notes on her script.

After Lindsay finished her PSA filming, she exited the small room where she met four young girls, who were waiting to greet her. Lindsay was super nice and smiley when meeting the girls saying, "Hi. Nice to meet you!"

It turned out one girl used to go to school with Lindsay's little sister, Ali. "That's so funny! Do you know her?" Lindsay asked, adding that Ali is now home-schooled. Lohan took off after taking a couple of pics with the young fans.

Other stars who filmed similar PSAs this week included David Arquette, Cher, Paris Hilton and Dancing With the Stars' Karina Smirnoff.

i find it odd that she hasnt done an interview yet. why is the extra interview coming so late? after all, we all know that these networks pay the interviewers for licensing images and whatnot. and wasnt dina promising months ago that there would be a big interview?

^ She gets turned down a lot, plus there's nothing 'new' here. She's done hundreds of interviews before/after rehab and nobody gets a new story. Dina was probably bargaining a lot to get the price up. What they did this time was offer access to 'her' house in Venice to show us something new. So much for 'leave me alone' huh?

I'm looking forward to seeing that mountain of scripts.

I think you're beginning to see the Loser clan's best attempt at a "positive" media onslaught to engender sympathy from whatever remaining supporters she has.

Not unlike the prior "media onslaught" that consisted of her spending a little time at some recovery center with the illness-struck downtrodden few.

She won't straighten out until she hits rock bottom, adn that will never happen while she's surrounded by yes-men and people who make delusional excuses for her every dumb*** move. I don't even like Angelina Jolie, but by the time she was LiLo's age, she ha three Golden Globes and an Oscar.

Michael Lohan Jr. -- In the Name of the Father

Michael Lohan Jr. has decided he's had enough of the moniker that links his him to his infamous father, so he's changing his name ... TMZ has learned.

We joked about it on TMZ TV this week -- that the name "Michael Lohan Jr." was holding him back in life. Now ... sources close to Junior tell us he had been thinking about changing his name for awhile, but our TV segment was the straw that broke the absentee camel's back.

Sources close to the Lohan clan tell us The Artist Soon To Be Formally Known Michael Lohan Jr. will be changing his name to ... Michael Cameron. We're told Michael plans on using the name starting with the upcoming movie he's starring in, produced by his mom Dina.

Lindsay Lohan -- Stealing the Show on Oscar Night

Lindsay Lohan is only two steps removed from the Oscars -- and by "steps" we mean "time slots" -- because TMZ has learned she'll be a part of Jimmy Kimmel's big post-Oscar special.

Sources close to LiLo tell TMZ she'll play a role in Jimmy's taped sketch that will air during the special, which airs after local news, which airs after the Oscars.

You'll remember ... last year's Kimmel bit was the Handsome Men's Club, which featured Matthew McConaughey, Josh Hartnett and Rob Lowe, among others.

We're told this year's sketch features some of the hottest women in Hollywood -- Lindsay, Scarlett Johansson, Emily Blunt, Sofia Vergara, Eva Longoria, Minka Kelly and Jessica Biel.

It took a while but she has finally given up and become a p*rn star:

Blacklisted by the movie industry following a string of misdemeanours and trips to rehab, LiLo (who was recently back in court charged with nicking a gold necklace, which she denies) has just signed her first major comeback deal.

The Mean Girls star, 24, has signed an estimated £2.1 million deal to front an explicit photographic book which will contain “full frontal nudity” and “graphic” shots. Nice.

For the, ahem, hardback sex tome, LiLo will be getting her kit off and posing for photos with former squeeze James Franco, 32. I hear she has had a series of dinner meetings with the hunky 127 Hours actor, who hosted last night’s Oscars.

They will be working with US snapper Terry Richardson – the man behind Lady Gaga’s controversial naked shoot to advertise Supreme clothing.
My source tells me: “Lindsay is struggling to get another break in Hollywood. There’s a stigma attached to working with her and she is determined to change this – starting with the photographic book.
“Terry Richardson has persuaded Lindsay and James to get involved. He has assured them it will be provocative but tasteful.
“There will be a lot of nakedness – some of it graphic and suggestive – but it will be a real statement book.
“Obviously there will be comparisons to Madonna’s 1992 Sex book. But James and Lindsay believe theirs will be classier.”
LiLo is also doing a tell-all US TV interview with David Letterman in April. My source adds: “Lindsay wants people to see the real her, not this drunken, out of control caricature she has become.” We’ll certainly see a lot of her when the book comes out.

Making fun of her felony grand theft charges

Lindsay Lohan took on her first role since being released from rehab — on Sunday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live! After the Academy Awards” – and she made fun of her current court case during her appearance.

The blonde starlet appeared in Jimmy’s skit, “Hottie Body Humpilates” — a mock workout video infomercial, featuring a host of leading ladies pretending they got in great shape by making gyrating moves with their pelvises.

Lindsay appeared twice in the skit, which also featured Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Vergara, Kelly Ripa, Jessica Biel, Emily Blunt, Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria.

In the first section, she helped “Jimmy K,” Jimmy Kimmel’s workout guru alias, promote his fitness regime, which also featured a lion.

“How does he find time to stay in such great shape?” Jimmy K said, referring to his lion.

“Not with weights or diet drinks, I’ll tell you that. Hi, I’m Lindsay Lohan,” the actress said.

“Tell us more about lions Lindsay,” Jimmy K replied.

“Well, lions spend their days hunting and their nights humping,” she replied as the skit continued with Lindsay kissing Jimmy’s hand and looking at him with flirty eyes.

Later, she reappeared in the skit as the fake infomercial came to a close.

“The Jimmy K program is so affordable, it’s practically a steal,” Jimmy K said.

Lindsay popped in and added, “Allegedly,” no doubt a reference to her court case, where she has been accused of felony grand theft of a necklace from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store, a charge she has pleaded not guilty to.

She only appears for 10 seconds at the end (the actresses don't appear together) and the whole sketch is cringe worthy. Scarjo was the only remotely funny one. Lindsay's acting was poor and her face moved in an unnatural way. Something is up with her eyebrows or cheeks.

Always has a flurry of last minute misguided self publicity before going to jail. 10 second appearance in a silly comedy sketch, then the interview in her house coming this week, followed by a photo book of her in a series of graphic full frontal poses. Who will buy that I wonder? She doesn't have a body that photographs well nude because of the waist and 'gravity issues' (remember those awful Monroe pictures?).
