And the beat goes on...

Lindsay Lohan Causing Fighting at Emanuel Ungaro?

It seems
Lindsay Lohan and her
disastrous turn as artistic advisor to the house of
Emanuel Ungaro is causing a rift between company executives.

Ungaro's chairman, Asim Abdullah and its CEO, Mounir Moufarrige are battling over whether the style-less starlet should stay at the company, the
New York Post's Page Six is reporting.

Andullah wants her out to save Ungaro's relationship with American department stores. In the mean time. Moufarrige, who brought Lohan to the label in the first place, wants her to stay put, perhaps to save face. The two can both agree that the reviews of her first efforts in October were dreadful.

The label's founder Emanuel Ungaro has
gone on the record about how angry he is that Lohan is destroying what he built. However, after selling his shares in 2005, Ungaro has had no contact with the new owners.

A rep for Emanuel Ungaro declined to comment. While Lohan's rep did not return emails for comment.

Holy inability to accept responsibility, Batman!
Ungaro chairman
Asim Abdullah is shifting the majority of the blame from Ungaro's failed
Lindsay Lohan-inspired clothing line primarily to Lindsay herself, who admittedly had very minimal influence over the actual line except to clap her hands and say, "Oh, that's pretty!"
Abdullah wants the clothing company to sever all ties with Lohan, while CEO Mounir Moufarrige wants to continue her association with the Ungaro House. Adding fuel to the fire: rumors that department stores have already refused to stock any Lohan designs. Why? Because they have hearts on them? That's totally stupid, and the fault belongs with the professional fashion designers who gave it the thumbs up, not Lohan. She's just some chick who likes clothing, whereas the designers are the people with the education and supposed marketing sense to pick up on trends. So it was a misfire. The blame shouldn't be placed on Lohan, but rather on the people who designed the clothing and the people who misjudged the popularity of train wreck chic.
Lohan is rumored to have a five-year contract with Ungaro...presumably twirling around in office chairs and wrapping herself in fabric, since her job description is more 'creative muse' than anything.
