Im glad, all the wierdness and ugliness from his namesake line was able to be refined over at Vuitton. Im not crazy about the hats (all though Im sure they will be all over the editorials), but every single piece seems very wearable and is interesting. The shoes are fun aswell. Im not dissapointed at all with this collection. I actually fancy it quite a bit. Def. not Marcs best season though!

oh, i like it...really arty,

but the wide "mc hammer pants" aren´t new at all.

i relly like the hats

tatlin´s tower????:wacko::wacko:

Amy Winehouse to Perform at Louis Vuitton Show in Paris

So Amy Winehouse is slated to perform at Louis Vuitton this weekend, and of course we're jealous and want to scream.

But perhaps the folks at LVMH also want to scream, since apparently they're paying a hefty bill for taking Karl Lagerfeld's muse and putting her up on a rival catwalk:
We hear Amy will snag $1 million for her appearance, which shakes down to about 1000 Louis Vuitton bags.

Seriously, for that kind of money, she better be getting an LV tattoo on her ***.
Not that we'd ever, ever want to see it...
Although, you know, Juergen Teller probably would.

Definitely better than his own show was, I can't wait to see the rest of the collection. Am I the only one who doesn't like the idea of his work for Vuitton being so similar to that of his own collection?? This has been going on for the past 2-3 seasons and I for one beleive he should seperate his own vision from that of Vuitton's.

Omg I thought I was the only one that noticed it:woot:. Yes he definately needs to start creating some differences between the two lines.!!! Its understandable because he has to create the lines closely together and he probably does not have enough time to change his inspirations!

i agree

apparently im the only one who sees it then -_-

the head pieces...

Fantastic observation!

I'm definitely liking what I see so far. There is something relatively ascetic in the clothing which kind of contrasts with the delightful 80s music I read was played.

I really liked last season and I'm excited to see where MJ will go this season.

I just don't see why it has to be such a blatant reference to his own label. I think designers should incorporate themeselves into their work but not if it's going to be so obviously similar to their namesake's collection. From what I've seen so far from this collection he managed to use very similar shapes, colors, and fabrics. Again, I have to see the rest, but this makes me think this is going to be another Marc Jacobs-esque Vuitton show...

I hate the pastel colors, it's too much like his own line. I think overall though that this is a much better collection than Marc Jacobs. Some of the shapes are fantastic. And I LOVE the shoes.
