The cocoon jackets are very Lanvin...

The shoes with the curved heel are very Prada, but very nice!

I haven't been liking his collections for a while now.. the last one was probably Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 08! As for Marc Jacobs collection, goes back to Fall 07!

But most of his stuff needs some getting used to...

i am in a love and hate relationship with ths collection,, i really do love the idea behind,,and the long dresses are beautiful,, but somehow i just don't get some of the pieces....

It seems that Marc is going through a phase of experiments on randomness and other (new as he calls it) ways of dressing up.

And with this collection it seems to me that he's really going somewhere.

I think some choices are very inspiring. And I love the overall image of this collection. Once again, New York is saved. jk

What a paragon of preciseness. The Colonial, Johnny Tremain inspired looks are actually quite successful in that they're still wearable and hardly costume. I'm still trying to figure out how this fits in with the Grecian/Joan of Arch sort of spiritual, goddess looks, but I'm excited to learn about it.

I just have so much respect for a designer that can vacillate between control and extravagance from one season to the next.

NYC should be happy because Mark is bringing a very playful European savoir affair, sense of joy and freedom to America's Fashion Game and it should be taken as inspiring and forward .. there is no need for more dusted Librarians, camel hued Secretaries and Pageants over and over.

I never was a big fan of MJ but I think he's is starting to grab my attention.
