So true! Vogue Paris posted an article saying "Gigi Hadid, queen of NYFW runways?" I was like, calm down, Lia Pavlova is the real queen with 23 shows, Gigi did 20 less
I'm fully support all this season's comebacks: CBN, Ruby Aldridge, Marina Perez and now Laura. Wonder who could be next.... Patricia van der Vliet? lol.
^exactly! the cast at Balenciaga WAS very diverse.
just different. Open your minds people.
can we discuss about the political correctness mania nowadays that rules all runways. i am for diversity and i want to see all different kind of women everywhere - not only on the catwalk.
but we have to calm down in 2016 if a designer with a vision just want to send a special look of woman that fits his clothes of now down the runway. all of the models at the Balenciaga Show were unique and kinda strong in her Beauty. that is what you call a vision.
i would find it much more racist just to throw in some asian or black token models in it - just to make everybody happy. would this change the world we are living in? it would be fake and wrong. so i applaud for Demnas choice of model - they look real, they look good.
Maybe next time he will choose a cast full of all black or asian or hispanic models for his next collection - and this will be the same strong message too. please get a life out of fashion all you fake diversity upsetters here!
I think it's ridiculous that anyone would argue that Balenciaga was diverse. It wasn't. Designers and casting directors nowadays seem to think that an 'edgy' look can substitute for racial diversity -- it can't. Just because your model has some abnormal haircut, etc, that doesn't make her 'diverse'.
