Project Runway Season Four

such a complete change in the designers this time...
they definitely cast it differently this year....
they are all so much more experienced...and older......

i actually know one of them and she has been doing stuff for AGES...

I think this is the most talented cast so far. Should be a fun season, so glad it's back on :D

Entertaining, it always is!

I was a bit disappointed in Rami's winning design. Well made, but the color and draping looked so conservative, and like someone else said, a toga.

But there is gonna be drama, which is always fun. Did you see at the end the clips of the season, with Tim telling everyone Jack has an important announcement....dum dum DUMMMMM.....let the theories begin now! Remember the last time that happened? CNN and other news outlets were reporting Keith Michael had stolen designs and was kicked off, when in fact he was kicked off for only having books......Not funny to him, but man, we all were duped. The pr dept for PR does well :)

Best line tonight for me: "I'm such a wh*re!" - Ricky

^Jack's announcement actually made news a while ago, so if you don't mind being spoiled you can actually find it online already (Kind of sad news).

Results (Spoilers - highlight to see):
Top 3 - Victorya, Christian, Rami (Winner)
Bottom 3 - Ricky, Elisa, Simone (Out)

As of now Rami is officially my favorite. That dress was beautifull executed, the color is gorgeous and it's only flaw is the rosette.

I'm rediculously happy that that pointy-faced little b*tch Christian didn't win for two reasons: One is that I always detest the arrogant one every season always has and Two: for all his bragging about working for Westwood, it shows. That look may as well have been a Vivienne Westwood. It was so sudent designer trying desperately to be edgy.

Shocked that Elisa didn't get the boot. That dress was a disaster.

^Disaster and a half! She was only kept on for keeping viewer interest, I'm guessing. I mean, "Can I hand measure you?" is just such an amazing quote

Tell me about it, I'm expecting her to whip out a tape measure and she's groping the model. She's an effing nutball.

I remember seeing her present with GenArt back in like 2001 and from what I remember her stuff looked more like performance art costume than fashion.

^Speaking of costume, I think that's what impressed me about Chris -- he seemed like such a flamboyant, costume-centric designer, yet his piece was sophisticated and downright wonderful on the runway (Though perhaps it didn't reflect exactly who he was).

I mean...THIS is Chris:

They can't kick of the "crazy" one on the first show, where would some of the drama come from? I bet she makes it further than we all think. That dress was gawd-awful, but I knew she would stick around for entertainment purposes.

Christian is supposed to be an a$$hole, he's from Maryland LOL. I was born and raised close to his hometown, trust me, it like a requrement for everyone in that area to be a jackass. :D And I bet Jillian proves to be a biatch as well.

Man, I hate reality TV on a whole, but this show still is too damn entertaining and fun. :woot:

^agree with all 3 points.

I'm digging Chris (LOVED his dress) and Sweet P (personality-wise). It's crazy how much different the outfits look on photos than on video. Jillian's dress looks much better in the photo, while Rami's looks better on video. HMM! and I definitely think the Rosette suits the dress..without it it'd look too boring.

Excited about this season though, and glad there aren't lots of novices this time around!

Chris truly did not receive enough credit for his beautiful dress. It should've won, honestly. Also, I'd say he didn't do too bad having been the ast person to the fabric tents, picking up designers' leftovers.

So far, I don't see personalities that really strike me as past seasons' cast members have. Maybe it will take more time.

Was anyone else bummed that casting snippets were not shown? I know PR had a difficult time casting members. They could have at least spotlighted some of that obstacle.

Rami's toga was well constructed, but basically just another toga. We've seen way too many this year. I agree that Chris' dress was beautiful, especially how it wrapped around the neck, yet it was also pretty conventional. I do hope that Christian gets a good *** kicking from Tim, MK, Nina & Heidi. Way too full of himself for 21. He is talented though, just needs a good shot of reality, but something tells me it'll take a while and he'll ultimately learn the hard way. Also kind of funny that Heidi liked Simone's dress.

Jimenez I remembered her when my sister mentioned she did tees for UO. If only she had just gotten rid of the train.

Christian's skirt was all Westwood and his jacket was also very McQueen/Westwood. Nicely constructed but I could go out and just buy Westwood. Not impressed. Why did none of the judges bring this up?

And where was the PR for this first episode? Heard nothing about it.

Jenner, what part of MD? Bethesda??

Chris' dress was gorgeous, i loved the back especially with the full ribbon. i think he should've at least been in the top three. i don't understand why Victorya's dress was picked as one of the top ???
Elisa reminds me of Star (the lawyer) from season one. -_________-
i like Christian. i don't necessarily like his dress the best, but he has a lot of talent. i can see why Tim called him a fashion prodigy.

You can see 3 outfits from each of the contestants at the bravo website. Some are pretty good, while some are :yuk:

Lollicandy- no, I was born and raised in Frederick, moved to DC after college. But DC/Balt/Naptown/NoVa......its something in the water

WHY THE HECK DIDNT THEY KICK OFF MOTHER EARTH?!?!?!?!

and

Joey Fatone on Project runway?
Am i right???? hahhahahahah :p

also
does anyone have opinions on the models?
I cant remember which one it was but she walked down the runway like a friggin quarterback. After watching the Fashion Week episode from last season again I noticed how bad most of the models walks were. I dunno. maybe thats petty but its a little pet peeve of mine for some reason.

I have a feeling this Chris is going to stick around for a while and be that surprising cast member who you wouldn't expect such wonderful things from, but delivers and executes so beautifully. I have faith in him!

Christian, although having worked with McQueen in London, has kind of a bighead. He's good at what he does.

i agree mostly...
but i have to take exception with two things you said..
first-
the rosette was not the only flaw...
the complete lack of BOOB SUPPORT in that dress made it incredibly unflattering adn impossible to wear without a bra- while it is also impossible to wear with one..it just bagged out under the arm and ruined the silhouette completely!-this is a MAJOR flaw from my point of view...
because- as a woman, i NEVER want my boobs looking bad...i mean- who does...i think a woman would never have made that error frankly...
and i think he is used to dressing LA boob job queens...
but most of the world is NOT filled with silicone and he is going to have to make it work...:judge:......

second-
elisa's dress was actually really beautiful and elegant...with the exception of the train...
everything she does is hand sewn with visible stitching and raw edges..
that is her 'thing'...and she did it really nicely imo...it looked great from the front...
she just went too far with that train...

on a nother note...

i think elissa has always gotten in her own way when it comes to her designs...
she has to stop thinking of them as some sort of performance piece or costume if she want to be commercially viable..
it's just a dress for crying out loud...
but i dont' know if she can ever be commercially viable since she really does sew everything by hand and on a body...
i mean...how many can she really produce...
and how many people can wear a skintight lycra dress...
:ermm:...
