Project Runway Season Four

Maybe the guest next week is Tom Ford.

I doubt it, but could you imagine?

Then again, would anyone be in tears over that? I mean, I would, but I'm a fanatic.

I hope it's not someone cheesy like Tyra Banks or Naomi Campbell or another washed up super.

I thought Marc Jacobs too when I saw the commercial but I don't the guys would really go crazy for him. Must be someone really fabulous, a gay icon maybe? I don't think Madonna, but bigger than Parker Posey and Debra Messing...?
Dolly Parton would make sense.

I've gotta say, for a change, the preview hype lived up to the episode.

Sarah Jessica Parker is freakin HUGE!

Didn't love the challenge though, the "mass market" challenges are never as exciting to watch. I wish it was like "design an outfit you think Carrie Bradshaw would wear, the winners creation will be featured in the SATC movie"

hahaha that would have been funny! i expected the challenge to be something like that too. I loved Sarah Jessica Parker as the guest judge. She definitely knows alot about fashion

As for the outfits, I was rooting for Victoria to win. I thought it was kind of odd that they didnt really acknowledge Kevin as part of the winning team. Even though it wasnt his design, he still should have gotten some credit

I was really surprised that Elisa's garment turned out pretty nice. I actually really liked the cape, which was surprising because her sketch scared me

As for the losing team, I think sending Marion home was the right choice. The outfit really did look like something you would find in your basement. Christian's jacket was too busy, but the outfit was more wearable.

I am really excited for next week's episode with the toughest Project Runway challenge yet!

spike, your idea would've been way more interesting.

sweet pea really helped out elisa's outfit. looks like she really put the finishing and made it more polished. otherwise, i think it would have been a disaster. "elisa is on some happy planet". best line. lol.

oh christian, another disappointment. reality check!

i liked victoria's concept when she presented it and thought it was executed very well. nicely done.

I loved Elisa's outfit, it was my favorite and they pulled it off. Sweet Pea probably did help quite a bit, but overall it was Elisa's creation. She's a kook no doubt, but there is some creativity. I was amazed to see what $15 could produce overall. I liked Victorya's a lot also, though I was pulling for Elisa to win. Rami's dress was very nice also. Christian's blue dress was hideous, nothing there at all. Marion's had more substance, but so poorly made. I guess between the two of them, Christian makes better television, plus he still needs a wake call, to learn to adapt to the challenges.

SJP was such a pleasant surprise!...and it's only episode 2!!! This may turn out to be quite a season! Spike413, your challenge idea would have been SO much better! I mean, that's every designers dream, right, have your outfit on Sex and the City...THE fashion TV show!? I agree, the mass market design challenges are so blah because (hate to say it) most of the designers that have ever been on Project Runway, including this season, are already pretty commercial and safe (really, one of the only designers who was consistently expensive and sophisticated was Laura from last season) ...it's far more fun when they have to make something more sophisticated and expensive than have to see them make something that we've seen at every H&M across the world.

And I'm already sick of Christian...he's one of those wannabes that thinks he's so Paris fashion week, when really most of his stuff would only look at home at some Midwest art college fashion show.:innocent:

About the preview for the next week's challenge, from the looks of it, my guess is that they have to make something, literally, out of scrap fabric! It looked like everybody's worktable was piled high with scraps of fabric...and not just small squares...REAL scraps!....like scraps of fabric after you've cut out patterns, etc!

Yup, SJP is a pretty big "guest judge" to get. I knew Victorya was going to win the moment I saw her sketch. Safe but trendy... I wonder when it will be in stores? This is turning out to be a really good season.

In a few episodes, I'll probably be seeing Vera Wang instead of Victorya whenever the girl comes on screen...

SJP was huge! I was not expecting that. I agree with everyone else, Spike's idea to have an outfit in the SATC movie would have been FABULOUS!

Christian is gonna stick around for awhile. He makes good drama = tv. I wouldn't be surprised if he made it down to the top 3 or 4. Just cause he's one you'll love to hate.

I knew Marion was gonna go home, that was one god awful outfit. I agree with what was said- it looked dirty. It reminded me of a burlap bag :yuk:

I thought Christian's dress was kinda hooker-y. The color, and then with that jacket...I dunno, it screamed "I work on a corner" to me.

Victorya is another strong designer. I expect her to go to the top 3.

And that spitting thing is nasty!!! How does spit transfer creative and positive energy??? Can't she just lay hands on it or something??? Bizzare...........

When she brought up spit marking to the judges, you knew that she wouldn't win the challenge. She needs to keep her mouth shut:wacko:, but it did seem they liked her outfit best. As far as being from another planet, same could be said for several other top designers.

I am with Jacque I knew Victorya would win this challenge the moment she walked the runway. But, truth be told, I really would have liked to see Eliza outfit win. I really liked it both pieces. I knew Christian was not going home because in terms of construction it was flawless the other guy outfit looked like a bag of potatoes that had been sheered. The decision was easy.

That outfit was proof that Christian isn't as talented as he seems to think. It was cheap looking and entirely average. An ugly knot minidress....groundbreaking.

And I hate how indiviual he thinks he is. That comment about how he'll be in the top three again, but the judges will choose someone else's "boring" outfit pissed me off. You're a Vivienne Westwood wannabe, you're trying too hard to be edgy, you're talent is purely technical, get over yourself you bitchy little troll.

And I TOTALLY agree about Victorya, she IS Vera Wang. She looks so much like her, her first challenge dress looked like something Vera might design, and her winning look tonight looked like something Vera would wear.

I'm kind of upset about Marion leaving. I agree his was the worst, and he deserved to go home because of it, but at a preview event they held the week before the premiere at Lincoln Center, his designs were some of my favorites. Shame he didn't get to stick around.
