M&M really delivered with this cover although i have no idea who Rooney Mara is nor why she got the cover..
looking forward to see Lara + Craig McDean ed and glad to see Lakshmi:clap:

That sounds like an amazing review. Can't wait for Nautical Signals... and Charlotte Free on US Vogue? I never would've expected in a million years!
what about an ex ANTM contestant?? Yaya DaCosta was in cycle 3 -_-
.

Because none of them are in one of the most anticipated movies of 2011?"

I really like this, because I was expecting it to be very light and girly. Last year she was in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake and now she's on the cover of Vogue, who would have guessed.
Lawrence had a prominent role in that X-Men film, not to mention being fresh from an Oscar nomination. Wasikowska could've easily nabbed a cover for Jane Eyre. She's had both critical and commercial success.

Emma Stone had a busy summer, she could've definitely gotten one for The Help.

I'll give you Olsen as her film hasn't even been released yet. My point is, could this be a repeat of Gretchen Mol's infamous Vanity Fair cover? I mean, getting a Vogue cover for her breakthrough role seems so extreme. Has that ever happened before? Why has Wintour taken a sudden interest in her?

I guess what I'm saying is, this girl could easily be all hype and no substance.

M&M shooting the cover? Not that I dislike them or anything, but I'm probably the only one who's not excited that they shot the cover.

I'm a bit disappointed by the review, but at least it's something different.

Well, what I meant was that this movie has been so hyped that, I think, any actress they chose to play the part would have gotten this cover.

Oh, and for Emma Stone, I wouldn't be surprised to see her on the cover around the time the new Spider Man movie comes out. Jennifer Lawrence might also get major covers around the time Hunger Games comes out. So, I think their huge movies are still coming.

this is so COOL!
first time US vogue cover looks modern and cool in my opinion
More Mert N Marcus please

Rooney looks lovely on the cover :)
the dragon on the dress´back is a bit obvious but imo it´s a really elegant cover for Vogue US standards...

It's definitely a good cover. For some reason it's not very Vogue US to me, and I guess that's why I like it so much.

I enjoy the print work of Arizona Muse and love how US Vogue photographs Lara Stone versus the way she is objectified in other magazines so I look forward to their editorials.

The cover looks great, to bad about the review, it will be as boring as always

I saw this and groaned. I thought after Moss covered the September issue they were going back to models.

But, after seeing it, I do like it. It's a decent cover.

^they feature a model on the cover only once a year, to expect more is pointless imo...

The cover is so lovely, she looks beautiful.. I'm glad they didn't go the character route that W went with

I'm also getting a 90's movie star vibe from her

Agreed. She's looking very Winona circa Age of Innocence.

Wait a second, is this Charlotte Free girl the one with pink hair?

Very nice to see an unexpected person (at least to me) and photographers on the cover! Can't wait to see more.
