Vogue Paris May 2011 : Kate Moss by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

i kinda love it. the hands make the cover. without them, this would be a nice, pretty cover. it's a stunning cover, and i do like the styling and the use of couture in a sleek way instead of poofy, exaggerated dresses, but i feel that the styling is so...bland.

hoping that the eds will be great...with less hans feurer.

kinda liken this. reminds me of Vanessa Paradis 2008 M&M cover with the retro glam vibe a la the Vreelandesque sea of red. i'm enjoying the abstract, Dali effect i'm getting from the whole arm/hand maneuvers.

despite all those wanting hands, Kate does look beautiful in that untouchable, retouched way:lol: also kudos to Alt for putting Armani on the cover. Certainly a dramatic cover, not something you see month after month...

I'm sick of Vogue Paris and this pose with the red-lips and the model's head thrown back. It was all over the December 2010 issue. The pose and look is as stale as three-day-old toast.

My contribution to the "this reminds me of..." conversation is the October 1997 cover of Vogue Paris (mlleperle.blogspot.com):

Total cover recall tigerrouge! vintage VOGUE always wins hands down.

Hate the text but it seems like that's what they're sticking to. I hope Alt doesn't keep giving the covers to the supermodels.

I think she chose supermodels (and the obvious ones) not only because she likes them, but because these are her first issues, and Gisele and Kate are best-sellers, if you don't want to put a celebrity... Of course, judging by her work I don't think there'll really be a lot of variety, not so soon... I mean, we'll probably see Daria in a few months.

I think that the cover would have been better with fewer hands, two or three would have been enough, and that the jacket was actually being removed, it just looks so non-committal. I like the other elements, the jacket, the pose, the hair. I am looking forward to the ed, I hope it's good.

The one hand that really bothers me is the one at the bottom. Other than that its a nice cover

Since December we have been looking up the model's nostrils on the cover of VP. It hasn't really bugged me until now. Hopefully this will be the last of it for a while!

yes, I like the cover, but it's a bit of a christmas feel to it, maybe because of the armani privé jacket and the red background. though i think its fresh and a bit sexy without being too sexy.

thank god for couture on the cover!

I think it's the colours and they look like they are unwrapping a present.
Kate would make a nice Xmas present.;)

Yes, that's what I wanted to say ^^ Very happy I was not alone to think Christmas.

Kate does look great. I hate the choice of what she is wearing, though.

she looks great but the hands are not useful and the red background makes me also think about christmas and is cheap looking... but it's Vogue Paris = which is always a fail to my eyes, so for once Kate looks great but yet again Vogue Paris doesn't amaze me as it used to back in the day

The Hands look so big bad photoshop in special in the down hand
