Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson

^I really want to see them last forever together, myself. His interview reads completely sincere in that People article. And she seems very sensible. Reading up on her at imdb, I picked out this quote: ""If the world were to end tomorrow, I really believe I could say I have lived a full life already - and that I have been extremely lucky." She's young, optimistic, and passionate. I'd hope she lifts him up rather than him dragging her down.

He also felt his wings with 19-year-old Running With Scissors actress Evan Rachel Wood, who impressed Manson by telling him she would die for him. "It might sound strange," he says, "but this made me want to live."

This is very Garbo/Barrymore Grand Hotel, ennit? What's not to love?

Marilyn Manson is so creepy and I always thought Evan was so sweet and innocent!

Whine, whine, whine.......he sounds like a grandiose and spoiled little girl.

Grow up, Brian......try to be a man.

Amen x2.

what an idiot.

i didnt care for manson before this and didnt even know who dita von teese was until now but somehow she ends looking like the adult in all of this

and i dont understand how he can leave HER for wood

Jesus! The girl can`t even drink legally! How could she then be the "soulmate" of such an excessive Rocker!?!

I read another interview where he said he was just happy to be with someone as "emotionally immature" as him... I guess that`s why this "relationship" works...

Man, I no longer feel like ordering the Marilyn Manson X-Mas tree ornaments now...^_^

I think that Manson wants sympathy with a lot of the things he said in that Spin/People article... I doubt he "felt" that deep. He just wants/needs to be loved and accepted. I think thats why he's so into Evan- his age, perhaps, helps her admire him, and he needs to feel important.

Off topic, what do you guys think is the biggest age gap a couple should have? Or does it depend on how old the couple in question is?

I think it just depends on their ages.I did think Anna Nicole and her millionaire were a bit too much, haha.I just worry about Evan as far as Marilyn's partying lifestyle. It tore Rose down, you could see it on her during their relationship.
-I think Marilyn is interesting and that makes him handsome in my eyes.

I think mutual trust, sharing vulnerabilities, intimacy, communication--love, lust--really can transcend age differences if people share the same values. A nineteen or twenty year-old often doesn't have the self-knowledge or life-experience to commit to someone older, especially if they've led a particularly sheltered life. However, some people never can hold onto a relationship, never know who they are, what they want, or what they value no matter how old they are.

There's got to be some mutual surrender and sacrifice for any relationship to work. And for that to happen, sharing the same basic values is necessary. If all anyone is into is enjoying the wild ride of passion, well, that fades. But if that's what the two people value, they can have their flames, fight, f*ck, break-up, make-up, and say in the end it was "all worth it." It takes a big, brave heart of any age to risk that. So I've got to admire anyone who tries. God knows I've never been any good at it!

Wow,how sexy!!!!Nice picture.I am finding it quite a surprise that Evan is the kind of girl who'd do all of this stuff-the real sex in the video, touching herself on video, posing nude everywhere. You just think that she wouldn't be this way.I wonder if this changes her career from "teenage" good dramatic actress-to "woman" serious roles.I just don't see her still being seen as a teenage actress since all of this new stuff. She's being very risky.
Well,as far as young and older people dating, look at other rockstars.Anthony Kedis has been dating teenagers lately and brags about it.Steven Tyler is,Mick Jagger has always loved the young girls, although now I think his girlfriend is at least in her thirties. The age differance here is nothing new in Hollywood and especially with rockstars.

I don't mind about age difference in couples. I particularly admired women like Demi Moore for marrying a much younger man. These days, older women can finally be seen and accepted in society if they date-married younger men without being judge. It's about time and I am quite pleased with this social change. I am 40-something and I must admit that I don't dislike younger men... Actually, I prefer them! Hah!
Back to topic, if Manson feel more satisfied with a younger woman, I could not care less.

Everyone always says that he's so intelligent and I wonder what planet they're living on. Maybe in comparison to Britney, yes: objectively, no.

The evan video is just bad. Two poseurs who have decided that because they think it's sexy when they have their pretentious, hackneyed pseudo-gothic teenage rebellion sex, that it actually IS sexy. And it is so far from Nabokov the comparison is somewhat insulting.

I looooveeeee this post!

On another note, am I the only one still unconvinced that Manson actually likes women? (And if -in fact- he does, he just uses them for publicity)

Well, yes Marilyn uses his girlfriends for publicity.I don't know if it's his fault or Evan's but in the interviews Marilyn has been giving,Evan sounds so childish and try-hard.It's like she wanted Marilyn when he was married, and they got to be friends discussing their movie work the two were/are involved with, and she learned of Dita and Marilyn having problems so Evan pulled out all of the easy tricks she could -to get Marilyn's attention that she wanted him and make him think she's so "different" and so much like him.Dita should be so embarassed that such trite moves could work on Marilyn.
Read the whole Spin article...she came over wearing heart shapped glasses after seeing that he was reading Lolita, she came over another time sucking on a heart shaped lollipop, she just thinks nothing is better than an androgynous one,she just LOVES Bowie.....oh come on!!!!She got a mixed tattoo showing her LOVE for Bowie and Marilyn. She said "Stab me,I will die for you",They love all the same movies, she's connected to him because of her new film "Across the Universe"-who with good taste doesn't like most of this stuff?Who with good sense bases a relationship on pointless things that you like-as entertainment? Are they in the nineth grade? So embarassing.
Who knew Marilyn was so easy?Any of his fans could have pulled out Evan's tricks that convince him how alike they are. It's embarassing to read. And the album art that's all Evan and Marilyn-I don't know.I was interested in a new album, even more when told it was about love/obsession/possession,but this being based on a REAL relationship just irks me.It's almost like Marilyn made an album FOR Evan and should have only given it to Evan instead of marketing it out as a project of the band Marilyn Manson. Why would fans care about this?To people on the outside,it's just another celebrity couple,so?
It's just becoming all so lame.I guess it will be really funny to see what happens after they film their God-awful sounding pretentious Lewis Carroll movie. You know it's going to be horrendous and even the fact that Marilyn pretended to be Lewis Carroll and fell for his young leading lady already makes it nauseating............

^ That was actually quite a well written post even though I disagree with half of it. While this relationship does seem very....iffy, you cannot base your analysis on articles.

Writers are biased and may distort his words to their liking. However, having said that I do agree that Manson should have given this album to Evan instead of marketing their relationship as a product. ^_^
