I agree about his using his new girlfriend in the video as being a swipe at Dita-plus he's wearing his wedding ring and the sex is taking place in a recreation of Dita's bed that she shared with Marilyn[Dita has told Perez Hilton]but I'm sure Marilyn had read Lolita before.Marilyn IS very well read.You can say some things about him that may be true but he is not brain dead-he reads very often,he takes most of his inspiration from being so well read.I think he was just giving his fans a clue as to what his new "era"is about.So,clue is "Lolita".

Well, I have just seen the video. I like it; Manson & Rachel look really good in it. It is very sexy. Yes, I have to admit that I am a bit of a voyeur but I have seen worse in music videos in my lifetime. What really bugs me thought is the fact that this video really looks like it is a dig at Dita. *Look at me; I have a hot new young girl and that's what we do together*. I mean, the split with Dita is too recent and in my opinion. It shows a very juvenile behaviour from Manson's part, very unsensitive. If he would have used a model it might have been different. For me, it is clear that he just wants to show-off.

I agree with all of this. I like it. It is sexy.

But yes, as a huge fan of Dita's, I can say that it is definitely insensitive and juvenile of Manson.

Well,the "Lolita" has always been a pocket of rocknroll sexiness and naughtiness that is celebrated in rock glory.Marilyn is just all of a sudden playing it up in your face-either as a theme or his life has been dealt this card,who knows?Think of all the old popular songs,musicians,videos-lolita is a huge theme and rocknroll is boring without it[or some of it]actually.
-And anyways,the book has already inspired countless songs before now.I think it's just a funny jab at his current situation.Evan is of age to decide what she wants.I think she's just playing with the theme as well. B)

It's just so odd...Evan used to be a respected actress and now she is desperate for publicity enough to screw on film with Marilyn Manson ...it makes no sense. Girl has some trauma...

Well the clip will at least please those who read Lolita hoping to find p*rn*gr*phy and were left disappointed by the social and cultural critic and, huh, Nabokov's actual subtlety.
I watched the clip entirely (the first time around I had to stop after 15 nauseating seconds). It's actually drab and quite meek (Evan plays with knife, Evan goes to a club, Evan does underage drinking, Evan swims in tomato sauce, astounding!) but I still can't get past her screaming like a pig.

Everyone always says that he's so intelligent and I wonder what planet they're living on. Maybe in comparison to Britney, yes: objectively, no.

The evan video is just bad. Two poseurs who have decided that because they think it's sexy when they have their pretentious, hackneyed pseudo-gothic teenage rebellion sex, that it actually IS sexy. And it is so far from Nabokov the comparison is somewhat insulting.
