A block to Lindsay's unrealistic dreams of reviving her career:

Lindsay Lohan Shot Down by True Blood

June 15th, 2010 // 47 Comments
Lindsay Lohan has been openly campaigning for a guest role on HBO’s True Blood, but it looks like producers are “driving a stake” through her dreams. *puts gun in mouth* E! News reports:
“Not in the forseeable future,” Ryan Kwanten told E! last night at Sony Playstation’s Move Lounge when asked whether Linds could be a guest star.
Ouch! Just last night, LL was counting down to the season three premiere on her Twitter and even celebrating with a True Blood themed ice cream cake.
In all honesty, I actually think Lindsay would be a perfect fit for the show. Whenever she looks in a mirror, she doesn’t see a career! BA-DOOM-SHA! Ah, man, these vampire jokes are “draining the life out of me.” AHAHAHAHA!
(I’ll be in the shower scrubbing myself with a Brillo pad if anyone needs me.)

shes so desperate to get good work isnt she ?
using twitter to beg for a role on a show shell never see outside of her tv..

classy Lindsay..
real classy

^hey, if it worked for Evan Rachel Wood it could work for Lindsay, right? right?:doh:

i actually think that Evan can act :ninja:
i loved her in Thirteen and Across the Universe.
and shes kind of comical in True Blood because shes this overdramtic drama queen..

lindsay on the other hand... her best work for me was Parent Trap..:ninja:
and maybe mean girls too..
i love that movie.. but because of rachel & amanda, not lindsay

^I was talking how ERW said to the press that she wanted to get a role in TB and she got it. But of course we´re talking about two different actresses, or more like one actress and one "Big Question Mark"...

ohhh.
i didnt know about ERW doing that

but at least ERW has good credibility..
lindsay... well... she hasnt had anyone say anything good about her being on set in a loooong time
shes too much of a hot mess to be taken seriously anymore, and what director would want to work with someone like that ?

The problem with Lindsay, as I see it, is that she didn't give herself a real chance to prove she was a good actress before screwing her life and her career, unlike someone like Robert Downey Jr (whom actually had the reputation of being talented before giving in to his vices - I for one think he's highly overrated as an actor, but that's a different story). It would be a totally different situation if she had actually tried a little bit harder on "A Prairie Home Companion" - it could have been the changing point in her career.

I think she was actually good on "Georgia Rule" - the rebellious, jaded, stuck up nature of her character fitted her own beautifully - but her behaviour on the set and the fact that she screwed it up around Jane Fonda (plus, that infamous letter from the head of the company that produced the film) ruined all her chances right there.

Cops Called On Dina Lohan At Ice Cream Store

Watch out Dina Lohan -- the cake police are on the hunt for you!

Lindsay Lohan’s mom was out and about in East Meadow, New York, on Wednesday when she stopped by a Carvel Ice Cream store, to buy a cake for her youngest son Cody's 14th birthday celebrations.

But that's when things went like a banana split, Dina said.

While at the counter, the high-profile mom said she produced a special Carvel promotional ‘Black’ card -- akin to a Black American Express Card in the ice-cream stakes.

It's then the store employee went ballistic, according to Dina, who dished the scoop to RadarOnline.com.

“The shop assistant said, ‘Do you have I.D.?’” Dina said.

“Next minute he grabbed my arm and took my card and held it hostage and wouldn’t give me the cake!

"This guy was crazy!”

The Carvel ‘Black’ card is the ultimate status symbol of ice-cream.

Dina explained she and all the Lohans have 'Black' cards, gifting them free ice cream for 75 years.

However, her mistake was: she picked up 16-year-old daughter Ali’s card.

"I didn't think it be a problem," Dina said.

“I couldn’t believe this guy... it’s a family card, it just didn’t have my name on it.

"Next minute, four cop cars showed up, there’s a police helicopter over head and this guy makes it seem to the cops that I’m trying to use a stolen credit card -- and for what? Over a free ice cream?!”

A humiliated Dina said she explained the situation to the cops.

But when the men in black asked the Carvel employee to return Dina’s card, he wouldn’t budge.

“He wouldn’t give it back... not even to the cops!” Dina joked.

“Finally he gave up and gave me my card back. But he told me, ‘You can have the card, but you can’t have the cake!’

"It just shows how we get treated so much worse than regular people.”

It would seem that the big loser in the fiasco was the birthday boy, who was denied his favorite ice cream cake.

Now Dina is going to make Carvel pay.

“Just wait until Lindsay and Ali hear about this,"
she said.

"When Ali gets back, I’m going to bring her in everyday to this store -- and you can print that!”

Exclusive Interview: Lindsay Lohan Says "Enough is Enough"

In her first interview since being forced to wear a SCRAM bracelet, and less than two weeks after the booze monitor detected her consumption of a "small amount of alcohol," Lindsay Lohan speaks out to Star exclusively about leaving her addiction behind and getting her career back on track.

"Enough is enough," the frustrated starlet says in our June 28 issue. "People should just leave me alone and let me live."
The hard-partying star particularly wants to refute any notion that she's fallen off the wagon since Star broke the news that the SCRAM went off in the early hours of June 7 while she was partying at Katy Perry's post-MTV Movie Awards bash.
"I haven't touched any alcohol or anything of the sort," she insists. Adding: "The lies that get created [are] damaging to my career."
Although Lindsay, who is working to get financial backing for her make-or-break role in Inferno playing p*rn star Linda Lovelace, is adamant that she's been playing it straight since she was fitted with the bracelet on May 24, she's certainly put herself in the way of temptation by hitting the Hollywood party scene hard.
"It's a constant struggle for her to stay sober, one that she faces every day," an insider reveals in the article.

She and every other substance dependent person....like she's so different from everyone else!! Of course, the struggle is much easier if one is not intentionally putting themselves in harms way by going to drinking establishments all the time...

"Lindsay, who is working to get financial backing for her make-or-break role in Inferno..."

Must be an uphill battle, can you see the scene at the bank "Guys- Lilo is on the phone and she wants a meeting to ask for $20mil for a movie about p*rn!! Get all the decision makers together; we must have a piece of this action!!!"

"Enough is enough," the frustrated starlet says in our June 28 issue. "People should just leave me alone and let me live."

i cant 'leave her alone and let her live'

i just.. cant

i HAVE to pass a comment when i come to this thread.. :innocent:
"The lies that get created [are] damaging to my career."

Haha, okay then  we'll just stay blind to ur everyday flaws.

"The lies that get created"... so, the people who invented and produced her SCRAM anklet are all a bunch of liars. Judge Revel is a liar. Her father is a liar. Everyone lies. I'm beginning to think that Lindsay is the only person in this world (along with her mother) who doesn't lie. I see canonisation coming her way in the future. This girl is saint, a pure soul lost in this dirty world full of bad people who constantly try to bring her down.

Not.

Carvel and the police have made statements which contradicts what Dina said

A trip to the ice cream store led to a misunderstanding and an apparent altercation for Dina Lohan, the mother of actress Lindsay Lohan , when she tried to buy a cake at the Carvel Ice Cream store in East Meadow Wednesday.

Stopping in at the store on Bellmore Avenue to buy an ice cream cake for her and ex-husband Michael Lohan 's son, Cody, for his 14th birthday, Dina Lohan presented a Carvel "75th Anniversary Celebrity Ice Cream Card"- designed after the American Express Black Card and given to 75 celebrities, including Howard Stern and Lindsay Lohan, last year. It entitles the bearer to free Carvel ice cream for 75 years.

"The shop assistant said, 'Do you have I.D.?'" Dina, 47, told RadarOnline.com. "Next minute he grabbed my arm and took my card and held it hostage and wouldn't give me the cake!"

Because the card, she said, actually belonged to her daughter Ali, 16, events quickly accelerated. "Next minute, four cop cars showed up, there's a police helicopter over head and this guy makes it seem to the cops that I'm trying to use a stolen credit card -- and for what? Over a free ice cream?!"

The Nassau County Police Department's Public Information office Thursday morning said the report showed a call made at 5:15 p.m. "She went in there and provided a Carvel card to the employee and there was some type of discrepancy with the card and that was it -- nothing criminal," a police spokesman said. "Usually something like that, it probably would have been two [police] cars. I don't see anything [in the report] about a helicopter. The card was returned to her."

Carvel corporate spokeswoman Ashley Swann told Newsday Thursday: "When Dina became upset and rude with the employees who would not meet her demands, the card was confiscated. Ms. Lohan then called local police, who responded and decided to return the card to her with the instruction that she not try to use it again. Carvel regrets this unfortunate situation and apologizes to the Lohan family if they didn't fully understand the rules surrounding our Black Card promotion."

"It's not the first I've heard of this issue coming up. It's the first time it's been in the press," she said. The card, she said was issued to Lindsay, not Ali, and is nontransferable, even to family members.

"These franchises are individually owned businesses. The franchisees agreed that 75 cards could be given to celebrities, but when [celebrities] just give the card to whomever they want, we're not in a position to make our franchise partners honor that. We've repeatedly told her, 'The card is for Lindsay, but we're honoring it this time.' We try to be as accommodating as we can, but there is a limit."

So now they're getting into trouble over ice cream and cake just to stay relevant? All of this cr@p just to get a few headlines in some gossip websites?

What have they come to?

^ These damned people are Lohan Haters just like the local franchisees!! BOYCOTT CARVEL- Corporate Lohan Haters!! They're the BP of ice cream!!*Oh, wait- Carvel stores are in with Dunkin' Donuts now??? Never mind...I'm going!!* B)

and all because she couldn't just say okay and pay for the g*ddamn cake with cash/another CC???? jeezus!

^ Obviously the people at Carvel don't understand who they are dealing with!! This all would have been more understandable if it had been Michael in another of his rages, but Dina?? I can see it now: "Don't you know who my daughter used to be???"
