With parents like that she had no chance, mix it with fame and money and complete narcissism and bam, Lindsay Trainwreck Lohan!
nydailynewsLindsay Lohan isn't the only family member not amused by Michael Lohan's recent engagement to Jon Gosselin's former fling.
His ex-wife, Dina, also finds the news a little bit strange.
"It's certainly a marriage made in tabloid heaven," she scoffed to RadarOnline.com. "I mean, Kate dated Hailey Glassman's ex, Jon Gosselin, then she's best friends with Michael's ex Erin, and now she's engaged to Michael. It all sounds a bit incestuous to me."
The spouses-to-be confirmed their engagement on Tuesday, telling UsMagazine.com that Michael popped the question after getting approval from Kate's father during a recent trip to Florida.
"I was in a hot tub with her dad at their house, and I said, 'There's something we have to talk about.' He said, 'Oh my God, don't tell me Kate's pregnant!'" Michael said. "I told him I was looking at the future, and I wanted to make it formal and take it to the next level. After that, he approved, then Kate and I discussed it and she discussed it with her dad."
The couple said they have already discussed tying the knot later this year at New York's Oheka Castle, the same wedding site where Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa said their "I do's."
While Major, 27, is currently not expecting, she and Michael, who turns 50 on April 25, plan to have children sooner rather than later.
"Where he's finding money for engagement rings and weddings I don't know," Dina told Radar. "He's nine months behind in his child support. I wish him the best but pay for the kids you already have."
This is the latest battle in their never-ending family drama, which recently involved Michael making a public plea for his famous daughter to seek help.
"I don't really listen to what Michael says," Dina said. "I have a team behind Lindsay. I definitely don't sit idle and do nothing. We have a tight inner circle and we keep things private as a family."
She added, "Michael has no relationship with his children. He has no visitation. My daughter Ali has a block on her phone, my little one [Cody] doesn't talk to him, my older son Michael is in college and doesn't talk to him and Lindsay has no relationship with him. He has hurt them deeply by what he's done publicly and it breaks my heart."
Last week, Michael held a press conference in his attorney's New York office in which he blamed the people in LiLo's inner circle for enabling her partying and alleged prescription drug addiction.
"Extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary measures," he said. "I've tried every way possible to reach out to my daughter. I've called, texted … in difficult times she reaches out to me for help. This is not about publicity."
While Michael believes publicly addressing his daughter's life is the only option he has to help save her, Dina finds the act inexcusable.
"I can't make him be a better father, but I want him to stop hurting Lindsay publicly. He needs to focus on his three other children and take care of them," Dina said. "It's time for him to be quiet for while."
A couple of days after the engagement announcement, with a p*rn star, at a boxing event, in a basement....somewhere in Philadelphia...

Lindsay Lohan to Star in Quentin Tarantino Film?
Thursday April 8, 2010
![]()
DIRECTOR Quentin Tarantino is set to help Lindsay Lohan drag what’s left of her acting career out of the gutter.
The troubled star is being eyed by the Kill Bill filmmaker for a future movie project in which she’ll be able to draw on her experiences as a party animal.
“Lindsay is just the kind of character Quentin loves,” reveals a Hollywood insider. “No one expects her to do anything significant on film ever again but he has at least one role he feels she would be perfect for. It’s a shocking, hardcore character but it will put her back on the map much as Quentin did for John Travolta.”
And Lindsay, 23, needs all the help she can get — recent reports claimed she earns LESS than MTV reality star Snooki.
“When Lindsay does get paid for attending events, she now gets $5,000 to $10,000, basically less than Snooki makes,” a source said earlier this month.
“It is sad and it is only getting worse. The few people that care about Lindsay want her to get help, but she is scared to trust anyone, thanks to her father, and she doesn’t want to hear this. We are worried for Lindsay and where her life is going.”

I love that it sounds completely reasonable and true. There's nothing I wouldn't put past this family.

Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton partied together to put aside life's sorrows.
Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton are apparently bonding over their respective woes: The wayward starlets partied the night (and perhaps what's left of their careers) away in L.A. on Wednesday night.
Spies say LiLo — who is dealing with the news that her dad, Michael, is engaged to fame-chasing former reporter Kate Major — was "raging" at Nylon's 11th-anniversary bash with her gal pal Mischa, who got into an ugly (and rather public) fight with ex-boyfriend Brandon Davis at that very party.
In fact, Davis took to his Twitter page to bash the former "O.C." starlet.
"Omg. Just realized my ex turned in to 1 of the fattest people in the planet," he wrote in a particularly cruel post. "I'm gonna start dating plus size models. Not! Mischa the Hefer."
Our spies at the fete say Barton was clearly trying to drown her sorrows over the jabs.
"She was chain-smoking the entire night," says a partygoer, who adds that both she and Linds — who have both spent time in rehab — were drinking, too. "Mischa was never without a cigarette in her hand — and a puss on her face."
Barton said goodbye to her gal pal and excused herself from the bash around midnight, but our source says La Lohan kept the party going all night long.
"She was running around until 6 in the morning," the West Coast spy dished. "She was on a bad path as is, and her father's antics are only making things worse for her."
Not that Mischa's friends are willing to accept excuses for Lindsay's behavior: in fact, one pal says they're all hoping Barton keeps her distance from Lohan.
"Lindsay is not a good influence on her," the friend says. "They should not be hanging out. Lindsay is an enabler, and that's the last thing that Mischa needs right now."
No word yet on his mission to Haiti
It's too bad Celebrity Deathmatch isn't on anymore imagine the fun they could have had with the Lohans.radaronlineBefore she even takes to the boxing ring, Michael Lohan’s fiancé Kate Major is on the ropes -- and it could be a knockout blow.
The Lohan patriarch has told RadarOnline.com he won’t allow Lindsay's soon-to-be-step mom pull on the gloves, after the celebrity boxing promoter staging the bout was charged with fixing fights and not having a license.
Damon Feldman, who operates the Celebrity Boxing Federation, was charged on Wednesday with six counts of staging competitions without holding a promoter's license and six counts of rigging fights at those events during a 16-month period.
"The only thing that appears to be 'real' about any of these events is the money that went into Mr. Feldman's pocket and the media attention that he received," Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett said in a written statement.
"These so-called fights were staged without concern for the health and safety of the participants, a lack of proper medical care and with a total disregard for the professional standards of boxing in Pennsylvania.”
According to the indictment, the fights under scrutiny involved celebrities such as "The Partridge Family" television star Danny Bonaduce and Lohan himself.
No one else aside from Feldman has been accused of wrongdoing.
“Until a clear and written decision is made regarding the status and legality of the Celebrity Boxing Federation, Kate Major can't risk participating in any such event unless and or until it is clear that there are no legal issues pending,” Lohan told RadarOnline.com.
“We do however, fully support Damon Feldman, the CBF and the people behind the organization.”
Feldman, who faces five years in prison and $10,000 fines for the first-degree misdemeanors, is out on $50,000 bond.
The legal stoush also threatens to KO Michelle "Bombshell" McGee's gig as a boxing referee between Jon Gosselin's ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman and p*rn queen Gina Lynn.
The tattooed mistress was scheduled referee one of Feldman’s bout between the blondes on May 7 at Philadelphia's Polaris Club.
gossipcopA couple of days ago, Dr. Drew Pinsky told RadarOnline if Lindsay Lohan“were my daughter, I would pack her car full with illegal substances, send her on her way, call the police, and make sure she was arrested. I would make sure she was not allowed to get out of jail. I would then go to the judge and make sure she was ordered to a minimum of a three year sobriety program.”
Dr. Drew, expressing concern for Lohan’s well being, added, “I hope Lindsay gets help before something terrible happens.”
In exclusive statements to Gossip Cop, Lohan reacted: “He’s a quack and a sell-out… Please tell him to stop!”
Lohan went on to claim she’s not out of control. “I’m fine,” said the actress, “I don’t get what’s wrong with people.”
Gossip Cop would like to know, do you think Lohan needs help or that she’s “fine,” as she says?
^Too damn funny!!!Mischa was never without a cigarette in her hand — and a puss on her face."
So maybe this is some sort of American thing but here....well, that makes her sound like she's pulling a Lohan.
