Lindsay Lohan misses her flight for Vienna Opera Ball after spending too long in duty free
Lindsay Lohan lost out on a $150,000 payday after missing her flight from of Los Angeles - because she was caught up shopping in duty free.
The 23-year-old actress was expected to be the star guest at Vienna's Opera Ball last night alongside Katie Price after being invited by Austrian millionaire Richard Lugner.
But she instead spent the evening partying at a H-Wood night club in Hollywood.
If she was upset about missing the lucrative engagement she certainly didn't let it show, but did try her best to avoid being photograph during her partying session.
Paging Lindsay Lohan: The actress missed her flight out of Los Angeles and then went partying at H-Wood club in Hollywood
Lindsay was two hours late boarding her private jet and then couldn't raise the funds to pay the £14,000 fee for delaying the flight,, according to reports.
Lugner, 77, told the Sun: 'She wanted to pay but didn't have that much available so she got off the plane.'
He famously pays a different female celebrity to be his date at the ball every year.
Previous escorts included Nicollette Sheridan, Dita Von Teese, Paris Hilton, Raquel Welch and Sophia Loren.

The retail mogul had already claimed Lohan had driven him crazy with her demands.
He told the Austrian press:'She refuses to take a scheduled flight and told me I must get a private jet sorted out for her. I managed to book an eight-seat jet, but she refused to accept my offer.
'She claimed it would be too uncomfortable and she would not be able to get any sleep when travelling in it. I haven’t got a choice, I suppose.'
The $150,000 lump sum will no doubt be sorely missed by Lindsay.
The Mean Girls star, who has struggled to secure decent acting roles following her stints in rehab and bouts of erratic behaviour, is described by sources as 'cash-strapped'.
She is said to have been spending above her means and now mostly relies on credit cards.
She also reveled she is a secret hoarder and confessed her luxury Los Angeles home is filled to the rafters with expensive but discarded purchases.
