there are def. strong similarities with his own line, but this is 1000 times better. and there are actually some pieces that i really adore. wich cannot be said on marc jacobs collection ...
i can definitely see the link between this and marc's own line...
i think the difference is marc's line was more halston and american sportswear to me, and this is more ysl-inspired...
even if he uses a similar insipiration for both lines, vuitton is usually more sophisticated and more "finished" than marc...
It is better than his own collection, and there are some beautiful pieces (mostly dresses and some jackets), but overall nothing special. There are too many unflattering pieces, like those pants and some coats...
Yes there is a distinct similarity to MJ line, but i think thats not a bad thing because Marc is good at staying true to himself yet adapting the sharper silhouette for LV,and he has done it here,i absoloutely love this, and the bags look wonderful and dosent seem like the whole collection was built around them this time.
I'm actually quite fond of this collection. I love the minimal aspect, plus the hint of structure we see on some pieces like the last dress. Plus, I love the fluidity of the coats/jackets.
