I think there is a definite difference between guys wearing girl jeans and just plain old skinny jeans.
In my opinion, only some guys can pull off wearing girls jeans. Guys with more slender frames pull off the girl jean look a little better.
A lot of my jean purchases are girl jeans. I'm 19, 5'8, and I have a 24 inch waist. It is a RARE occasion for me to find mens jeans that actually fit me. I usually buy women's bootcut jeans, slim straight, or actual skinny jeans. In addition, I have many pairs of 'boyfriend' cut jeans, which are women's jeans that resemble the cut of mens jeans.
I have very slim legs and I like to have my jeans fit relatively tightly. Sometimes I do wear actual skinny jeans, which fit tight to my legs.
I don't think that either skinny jeans, straight slim, or girls jeans are going out of style. I know that the influence of the 90's is slowly creeping towards us, however, I don't think that an extremely baggy pant will take the place of the skinny and slim style that is popular now. I think that when the baggy pants took an exit, it was an improvement for men's fashion. I think that going back to baggy pants(carpenter jeans/parachute pants come to mind and I become nauseous and cringe) would be a negative change for fashion.
Also, I would just like to state that I disagree with a lot of things said in this thread. A lot of people are confusing "in style" and "fashionable". I strongly believe that just because something is out of style, doesn't mean it's not fashionable and doesn't look good. People are always going to be wearing fashionable clothes that are out of style, but thats how new trends and new discoveries in fashion are made.
I personally don't base my entire wardrobe on what is 'in style'. For me, I buy/wear clothes that I like and that I think look good on me. Sometimes what I choose may or may not be in style, but it does not stop me. Whats 'in style' may have its influences on my wardrobe, and sure I do like what is 'in style' most of the times, but I like to think that I make my own fashion decisions based purely on my own interests, thoughts, and opinions.
I, for one, cannot see myself giving up my straight slim, girl jeans, or my skinny jeans anytime soon, especially the girl jeans because I don't see myself getting significantly bigger in the near future. They are a style I like, and I hope that they don't depart anytime soon because I think it is a trend(or whatever you want to call it) that is very fashionable.
A 24 inch waist? My, OH MY! Totally jealous but didn't even know this size existed
What's the smallest size Dior Homme go to? Is it 28? I always trust their sizes to see the thinnest a man can get ha.
ANYWAY! Back to the point - OH YES - When I looked for male skinny jeans I couldn't find any so I had to buy female skinnies :S Anyone know where I can male skinnies??
Yea, a 24 inch waist. They don't usually make male sizes that small, in fact, I've never seen them go that small either. I know I have a 24 waist just because I wear a 24 in womens. When the womens pants are labeled 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 etc., the sizes correspond to the mens sizes. Plus I measured my waist.
And about finding mens skinny jeans, I know of one place off the top of my head.
Urban Outfitters carries mens skinny jeans/pipe jeans in sizes 26-whatever. They literally suction to your leg almost, they are REALLY form fitting. Plus they have a fair amount of spandex so they stretch to fit your legs.
If those are too tight for you, there are skinny jeans they sell that are a little less tight and have less spandex in them.
I hope that helps.

And yes, agree. Skinny jeans will always have a place in my wardrobe
there are unisex jeans....cm, a77, etc.
Do some of you think more designers should make more skinny jeans available to men's figures?
Totally!
I have to wear womens' skinnies and they get so annoying as they are like just at the top of your hips sort of thing - it seemed to be the kinda 'in thing' around our town for boys to deliberately have these as so they showed as much of their cheap underwear as possible, which just made them look like they bought cheap trousers. Which they did.
Yea, why don't you try being a guy with a size 24 waist and 30 length. Once you try to do that come back and tell me your opinion again. Hahaha.I think there are enough companies out now that make "unisex" tapered jeans. I think the guys that are buying girls jeans are probably not willing to spend a bit more money and time looking for jeans that will actually fit right. I've found plenty of brands, not high end designer but just as good.

Plus, im pretty sure the 200$ I spend on a pair of jeans means I'm pretty willing to spend whatever amount of money on jeans.
Even mens designer jeans to cater to all size and shapes of people these days. Basically if you aren't sized like what 99% of the male population is, then you are basically out of luck.

This kind of lead me to my assumption. I apologize if I was wrong.Yea, why don't you try being a guy with a size 24 waist and 30 length. Once you try to do that come back and tell me your opinion again. Hahaha.
