Is US Vogue what I'm seeing?

Taylor disguised as a 'bad girl' (the hair on the cover is AWFUL, don't get the praise), Gigi and Zyan pretending to be a couple in a corny ed by Testino...

A few years back it was Daria Werbowy by Newton, Liya by Meisel, Gemma Ward by Klein, Raquel by I&V...



Magazines are on their last legs and it's easy to tell by these desperate attempts... How sad.

I like the cover. It's fresh and exciting in a way (much more than at VP, UKV, VI).
I remember that at the same time last year, we had that amazing ed by Meisel for the same magazine for the MET BALL. I hope to see Meisel somewhere in that!

I don't care for Gigi and Zayn. Zayn is cute...but the main thing is that i really have to buy those Miu Miu pumps. Maybe in red...

I quite find the Miu Miu pumps more interesting than anything else happening in that ed..

I'm not in love with the cover, but I liked. The editorial is ok. Some of the pictures are... not so good.

Hmm that last shot of Gigi almost looks like a cover try. I'm sure there some pics of her facing the cam. Anna probably had Mario do some test tries.

Re the sizing change, this simply puts it inline with most other glossy magazines doesn't it? It always ran a bit smaller than UK Vogue, etc. It'll just match up, I presume? Can't say I think it's an issue personally!

UK Vogue is taller and wider than US Vogue. However, the height will not change, it's only the width. So basically, proportionally speaking, it's almost like a mini Bazaar US. I guess it's more of an issue to those who are so keen with how their magazines are stacked together. Because definitely this is a huge change when compiled together. Plus the fact that the June - August issues will be back to their regular size, then the new size for September again.

The new look is not permanent. At least not yet. But it will reappear when Vogue’s Met Gala special edition hits newsstands a week after the May 2 event and, perhaps more importantly, for the magazine’s annual September Issue, which will have a newsstand price of $9.99, an unusually high figure for a mass publication. Changing things up for May instead of March...

To me it sounds like it's going to be a limited thing, like Harper's is here in the UK, September and March get large scale newsstand editions however subscriber's and most newsstands for the standard size.

I don't like it, I think the cover looks cheap. Not in the tacky sense, but literally cheap. Taylor is actually beautiful, they could have done more with her.

I'll post a review soon but I can confirm that the issue is indeed Harper's Bazaar/Marie Claire large. As for editorials, the issue is nearly devoid of any models (don't get me wrong, mixing Karlie Kloss with Chaerin Lee isn't as bad) but isn't that what every issue turns out to be?

I love that M&M is all over this issue as well as Imaan Hammam (I freaking love her).

Also, like someone said, some of the best covers and cover editorials have been from M&M from Rooney to Lupita.

I hope to see more M&M and David Sims covers.

I'm surprised to say this, but I actually like this cover quite a lot! It's refreshing for Vogue US and the red background looks very good.

And I'm excited to see Lizzy Plapinger! Love her.
