hmm still to many. (not that Heidi even counts...but)

I'm glad KK got a bt of exposure in a christmas commercial, but I think her being cut from the main commercial still shows she's being cut from the squad and all the other facts that lead up to it, she will be missed as an angel but maybe she's going to focus on a movie career instead...who knows.

Id love Ale to get the FB next year and /or to open a show - that would be logical and well deserved.

Id be already happy if Marisa just gets the wings for the show and some nice outfits, nice lingerie.

Oh this is really bad if Emanuela is already an angel I agree she doesnt impress much. Out of all girls in catalogues or on vs site only a few stand out and you remember them : Adriana - no comments, she is vs, Doutzen - how can she not with that face <3, Ale - fierce and fun, you feel her energy, Marisa - because she has character and is different from all 'babdollcutehoneybunnygirls', good for the variety. So yeah. May be Miranda...but the rest of the girls including Emanuela *yawn*.....all as one...( I left KK and Iza out).

Whatever, 'angel' title is very worn out these days and is no special...so they can make angel whoever they want- Santa, Miss America...etc.

Well that first comment is opinion, so it's irrelevant.
Apparently Victoria's Secret doesn't share your sentiments.
I don't think her outfits were that bad, and I actually enjoyed her more than you guy's beloved "Candice" who was great yes, but not my cup of tea.(yea opinion, but atleast I'm not name calling.)

I actually love Emanu, and if you think about it, her getting angel status isn't even shocking, she's already done loads of commercials with them, shes all over the catalogs, and after being in the show, getting an angel contract is the next step, theres nothing else she can do really.

Back on topic. When mods usually close such VSFS threads ? I mean VSFS 2008 is now officially over and all, or do they leave it open ? Just wondering.

I think you're right. Izabel will focus on her career starting with Armani Exchange and KK will focus on a movie career. I think KK will work with VS but as a non-Angel just like Izabel!

I think it's such a bad idea to make Emanuela an angel... I thought she'd be good, but she was disappointing on the runway and well - Izabel and KK are much more impressive. Even more than Doutzen and Marisa, to be honest, even though they could've chosen worse. But Doutzen doesn't have the body (and not rhythm ) and while I think that Marisa's calm presence on the runway is much better than Adriana's horrible fingers I don't think she's as good as Izabel and KK... I can't believe they aren't angels anymore. But I guess if Izabel appears in the shows regularly, like Ana does, I'm fine with that.

What I would like as an line-up:

Edita V. (classic)
KK (sexy)
Miranda (well, maybe Candice, but she does have the ability to look a bit cheap, at least she did at the beach :/ )

Lol. And if you read my post again, you would see that I noted what I said was opinion, So as to take it lightly, never once did I Say "THIS IS FACT."
So I don't understand what youre accusing me of.
And yes you used Emanuela, but also you said she has a very "generic face" OR something like that, either way, it WAS irrelevant, a especially when I think Generic beauty the first two names that come to my mind are
Alessandra and Marisa, but oh look at that just an opinion.

There was a video posted on Candice's thread that showed the VS people making her up, so I think that's why she was so heavily made up for the beach shoot.

I want Candice to be an angel as well!

I think they should give models an angel contract after walking 1 show.

Candice is a nice girl but def no angel-material. Even though Marisa fits in the show she is no angel material, miranda same story. they just don't stand out if you compare them to
kk or ale or adriana..

I have to attend to this Emanuela conversation, too: I wouldn`t use words generic beauty of her, what does that even mean? To me she`s more a classic beauty. My problem with her being an angel is that she was quite boring at the show, but that`s only my opinion. Sessilee has that energy, but I´m not sure of her either being angel material, she was nice addition to cast. And as an angel Emanuela should be more glowing and radiant. But as many of you have said, there are already too many angels, so the meaning of that honor has eased. They`re not as the most supers of the supers as the used to be anyway. To me Adriana, Alessandra, Karolina, Heidi and Miranda would be enough.

Well I think Emanuela fits in nicely and she might have not done the show as well as she could but if you go back on all the angels on their first show they didn't really stand out. Plus I have to give it to Emanuela she did a biofit commercial with Adriana and the campaign and managed to hold her own....not every angel could do that with Dri. Then she went on to hold her own in the commercial for Christmas where it was Doutzen and Adriana...again she held her own...impressive in my opinon. Plus she gets along with the other girls very well, which I'm sure is part of the deciding part for the execs. Personally they could get rid of Selita, and put Emanuela at the bottom of the line Up and I'd be happy.

But the vs site is really getting ready for their new angel line up...they pulled KK's video because she's pretty much gone, and pulled Emanuela's to keep her until their ready to announce. They might want to have less subtle hints in the future....

To me it's not so much an issue of who is good enough to be an angel, for me it's an issue of what it means to be an angel and paying your dues before you become one. The angels are a position, a brand in and of themselves within the larger VS company that demands a certain face and image. I just can't imagine girls being plucked out of no where to become angels. Although I loved Manu, I don't think she's ready. Hell, I too even like Marisa at times but still don't think she is angel status. Before 2005, all of the previous angels had pulled their weight in shows and promotions, Adriana/Ale/KK they all proved they could do it. And now all of a sudden, Selita/Izabel/etc. were chosen . . . wtf? I personally would've loved to see Oluchi become an angel, it's a shame that didn't happen. Also to me the angels should add something different, in that sense I get Miranda (she's the incredibly cute one). But with Heidi and KK, I'm sorry Doutzen and Marisa are useless. I honestly just wish they would drop the axe on a few more of their angels.

It used to be an achievement to be a VS-Angel. It used to be a shock to be an Angel and suddenly a non-angel. These days Angels CHOOSE to not be an angel anymore for other modeljobs. it's not that special to be a angel anymore, they just choose someone who did 2 commercials or walked the runway 1 time..

To be an Angel these days hasn't got the meaning that it used to.. if KK is really gone only Adriana and Ale are really angel-worthy
