What to wear when you're a student

I still have 2 years to go.

Actually...I'd love to have worn a uniform in my high school...although, I am partial to suits and the like .

Come to think of it, I can't wait till I get to wear a suit everyday

I love my highschool uniform. It's much easier having a uniform because I always have trouble choosing what to wear.

I kinda miss highscool.....

Haha, that's just weird.
But I suppose it gives great hype the idea of casual dress...
Although, I have to admit, most people at my school don't give much thought towards fashion... and kind of explains why there's a minute minority that have girlfriends.

Haha, going to school in uniform isn't the greatest thing in the world.
It's quite dull... imagine having your mother dress you.

I moved to a school where there are no uniforms now, and it sucks! You're all complaining about school uniforms but I really miss it I spend ages the night before figuring out what I'm going to wear tomorrow. Then at school people are always comparing people's outfits and it can feel a bit... uneasy. Like people won't criticize others verbally or anything but if people are dressed in a funny way other people will exclude them etc. It's quite bitchy!

You could keep wearing a uniform-inspired style, very classic and limited colors. It wouldn't solve the worrying about what other people think, but it would help figuring out what to wear in the morning.

Like our uniform used to be khakis, white polos, and green sweatshirts, so I would wear different color trousers and sweaters and polos with the collar showing... now I realize that's kind of what I've been moving into lately.

Yes! Great idea. I've been trying to do that actually. I've purchased collared shirts and a few knit sweaters. It looks really preppy but there's not much else you can do when you can't think of an outfit.

I don't really care what people think, and I wear what I like and what I feel comfortable in, but I'm not outrageous or anything (at least I don't think I am...)

Oh no! I really hope this thread hasn't died. I just found it and was looking for a tread like this to get me out of my newly acquired style slump here at college.
I was hoping to see pictures galore, but doesn't look like there has been much recent activity.

I used to wear a uniform to school, which I didn't mind. But now that I'm at university I find I'm wearing jeans and a sweater almost every day. I really don't want to, I just roll out of bed and put on whatever is lying on my chair, stupid 800am classes.
Maybe if I can manage to put together some nicer outfits, perhaps the night before and lay them on my chair, I'll post some pictures. If anyone is around....

i actually really miss my uniform (excpet the fact that it was atrouciously ugly and we were made fun of) i'm in high school and what i'm going to wear is during the week is the last thing on my mind. on top of homework, extracirriculars, volunteering, family, friends...i only have time to worry about what i'm wearing on the weekends. it's annoying but i guess i'll get used to it.

I found it annoying too, when we had days where we got to "dress down" and wear normal clothes I always freaked out and had to get up like 20 minutes earlier. I love fashion, but I take a long time to decide what look I want to go for, for that day.
Haha. And I love getting dressed up on the weekend, so I always got to experiment and what not then.
