What to wear when you're a student

kiwanja-I'm a purse kinda girl. I don't think I have ever owned a backpack. Even when I was very little I had a little leather satchel that I wore over my shoulder/body,aww I used to love that little thing  Practicality never really enters my mind when it comes to bags

I pretty sure that Longchamp isn't that famous over here (Sydney, Australia), so I just carry my stuff in it and sometimes a big brown tote bag for extra stuff! :)

^ I don't believe Longchamp is that famous here in Cali either.
When I went to Biarritz, France to visit a friend, all the girls had the large version in different colors. I purchased it in black, it's definitely perfect for school. I can fit everything in it. Only downside, I have a black phone and I can never find it in there haha

I agree with you^^
When i visited France, the school i was at seems to be a walking advertisement for longchamp bags, in all sizes and colours! Coupled with skinny jeans and converses. on EVERY girl. The boys were similar.
Longchamp isn't at all that popular in Melbourne either. I have a navy one (and my phone always gets lost!) and love it. They're very good for lugging stuff around.

I go to a pretty preppy university in the city, so it's very, very rare to see people dressed in sweatpants going to class unless they're athletes. Generally "dressing down" is frowned upon by other students. Girls usually wear skinny jeans, Ugg boots, or ankle boots with layered tops or grandpa sweaters or crisp button-downs. For coats, the trend is long coats, usually double breasted. In the summer, sundresses with an airy cardigan and leather flip flops (never rubber) or flats. Many students come to class in business casual clothing, not because they're trying to fit in - just because majority of the students also juggle an internship or part-time job.

the mainstream in my college has cotton bags they are perfect If you carry lots of books (I even have one)

But I have always dream of carrying a brown leather bag I just feel is kind of romantic  (blame valentine's day=) it also reminds me of the old postman bags -sighs-

^A lot of girls at school borrow bags like the one posted above form their grandmothers

Those leather bags are adorable! So much better than using a plain laptop bag! :D

Louis Vuitton Speedies were all the rage where I went to school ... and some of them were so well worn I was sure they must have been Mom's first ...

My favorite outfit for school is a tee, jeans, hoodie, leather jacket, scarf, and oxfords. And for the majority of girls in my school it's uggs and sweatpants. It makes me so happy when I see girls who actually look nice in school, it assures me that I'm not in ugg hell.

I love shoulder bags in brown leather.. My dad bought me one that my mom used more than me (I thought it looked too grown up), but now I just adore it.

My first ever school bag was a brown leather satchel similar to the second one. I miss it. Things here are definetly getting better at my Uni. I actually saw a Mulberry bag today :crush:

I love shoulder bags in brown as well. I never actually found one that I liked until about a month ago, I purchased the Linea Pelle Dylan bag. It's perfect.. not too big and not too small. Plus if I ever need to fit more junk in it, the bag expands. And the best part is the inside is a dark brown, so I can actually find my phone now haha

As a student that doesn't yet own a car, a good bag is important to me. Right now, I have a really nice black Lululemon bag that has three compartments. I made sure my laptop could fit in it. For the summer, I'm looking for a new book bag, but I need one that could handle having lots of stuff in it.

For my classes I usually just throw whatever I'm in the mood for on. I can honestly say I haven't worn heels to class this semester, but I'm not against it when it gets warmer. I hate those days when your running late, and you knew exactly what you wanted to wear, but it would take to long to put it all together in a nice-looking way. So I just throw on jeans and a t-shirt. =/ I need to invest in a few pieces that are versatile AND stylish. I love fashion but I don't always look like I do in my 8:30 class.

I'm a high school student and I must say I rarely wear anything special unless I really feel like it. I usually keep the same jackets, shirts, and jeans in rotation week after week and I usually just throw on whatever's left over from the weekend haha. I view school like work though, I wouldn't bring my A game~ to work. I'm all about comfort. Plus I've stained countless things at school (pen stains, lunch stains, smushed bug stains(yes )), so i definitely steer clear of wearing anything that's condition I value. I really wish we had uniforms tbh, it makes business that much easier!

^ Reminds me of how I used to pick aphids off my roses and smush them on my t-shirt ... but I didn't leave the house wearing the t-shirt afterwards ;)

Hahah that's funny! I usually get bugs smushed on my jeans at lunch when my friend decides she's done with the ladybug shes holding. :ninja:
