Lindsay Lohan has claimed that she did not choose shopping over her recent court appearance and that she was, in fact, attending court-ordered traffic school, according to reports.
The former Mean Girls star, 23, was reportedly due in court yesterday for a deposition regarding a 2007 incident, when she allegedly hijacked an SUV, with three men and a bag of cocaine inside.

During the incident, Lohan reportedly chased a car from Malibu to Santa Monica where she was arrested for drink-driving.
According to TMZ.com, lawyers for the three men involved in the incident wanted to spend the day questioning her yesterday, but she reportedly claimed that she only had a few hours to spare. She was then told by the lawyers not to attend at all if she wasn't willing to commit to a full day.

But Lohan now claims that she was attending court-ordered traffic school, which prevented her from attending the deposition.

Asked by TMZ.com if she is planning to attend the next deposition, she replied: "Well, I won't have traffic school by the court, will I?"

Lindsay Lohan Can't Be Bothered

Lindsay Lohan had only one important thing to do yesterday, and one thing only. Lindsay just had to show up for a scheduled deposition in the lawsuit against her that alleges she held three dudes hostage in her SUV back in 2007. But since Lindsay's lawyers weren't thinking ahead by leaving a trail of JD shots from the parking lot up to the office, so she never made it to the deposition.

TMZ says that Lindsay showed up 90-minutes late and didn't even get out of her car. Lindsay told the lawyers she only had a couple of hours, so they sent her as$ away because they didn't want to bother if she couldn't stay all day.

Meanwhile, Michael Lohan is busy scratching up our retinas with his long-grain nipples instead of dragging "this child" (copyright: White Oprah) by the hair up to her deposition. Wait for Lindsay to diarrhea all over her Twitter about how she showed up late, because the paps secretly turned her clocks back a couple of hours to see her fail. Or how that bag of the bad $hit in the pocket of her pants isn't hers. Oh wait, that's another excuse for another day.

Here's Lindsay looking bloated, bombed and barfy while shopping and lunching yesterday. I will say that I do like her "Ode to the early 90s" floral dress. All she needs is a matching headband, tights from Contempo Casuals and black suede scrunch boots held up by a rubber band.

Imagine if your life was in such a bad way you can say "I cant attend the deposition for substance fueled hostage situation and high speed pursuit, I'm too busy with court ordered traffic school."

^ Makes you wonder who, if anyone, is advising her in her actions... I mean, if the court was even trying to do it's job, they would look into this nonsense and say "No you weren't in traffic school, you were shopping- show up tomorrow or we issue a bench warrant"...Wouldn't her 'manager' or lawyer say this is no joke to be going around lying about things? I don't understand at this point- obviously she lives in some fantasy world, but the what about the people around her??

Twentieth Century Fox has announced a release date for Robert Rodriguez's upcoming movie Machete.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the film will open on Labor Day weekend.

Which, if you think about it, is puzzling, since she is not a Marilyn Monroe caliber star and never was, and there can not possibly be enough money and influence to say 'of course she can do whatever she wants'; she has been basically just a tabloid darling for a couple of years now who has not done much of anything for anybody- especially herself...Strange she still can do whatever she wants with no consequences- so far...
