i agree. rehab first. and not at a known celeb-going rehab centre.. but a normal one where regular joes go so shes treated with utmost care and strictness too.

Privately Dina wanted Lindsay to go to rehab, tried to help Michael get her into rehab, but Lindsay beat her up. Lindsay is very very sick I don't think we can even imagine what kind of manipulation she works on Dina. Lindsay could destroy Dina in the press if she ever 'turned against' her.

Lohan, Avril in public brawl

Lindsay Lohan is locked in a bitter feud with rival starlet Avril Lavigne after the pop star publicly branded Lohan a "loser."

Lohan and Lavigne had a huge fight in front of fellow guests at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. It ended with Lohan desperately trying to get her rival thrown out.

An eyewitness told Page Six: "Avril was at a table with friends just over a week ago including her boyfriend, Brody Jenner, when Lindsay came over to say hi.

"But as soon as she approached, Avril launched at her and said: 'Get the hell out of my face, you are fake, you are a loser. I don't like false people. Stay away from me and my friends.'

"Lindsay was furious and screamed back: 'Don't threaten me!' She then stormed off to security and tried to get them to kick Avril out. They refused to force Avril to leave. Lindsay eventually stormed off."

Sources tell us that the feud kicked off when Lohan snubbed Lavigne at an event -- but sidled up to her acting friendly once Lavigne was sitting with a group at the Chateau Marmont days later.

The source added: "It seemed like she was just being friendly to Avril because she was with people Lindsay wanted to impress. Avril is avoiding going to the Chateau Marmont when she knows Linsday will be there. She doesn't want any more drama."

Back in New York Sunday, Lohan was up to her old tricks, turning up hours late for a photo shoot with Markus Klinko and Indrani.

Lohan and her entire family -- except estranged dad Michael -- went for a Mother's Day dinner at Meatpacking eaterie Abe & Arthur's. "They came in around 9 p.m. and all looked very happy," says a spy.

Lohan then headed onto the shoot, having kept the photographers and crew waiting until well after midnight.

A rep for Lavigne and Lohan's lawyer didn't get back to us last night.

I find it odd that Dina also has two boys who seem to be doing perfectly fine, the elder son is in college (miraculously for a Lohan) and the younger son doesn't seem to want a media career (yet). It's just the girls that seem to be on the wrong path, and yet if you think about it Ali is still a LONG way from being as bigger mess as Lindsay. So I think Sethii is right in that it's more down to Lindsay and her manipulation of her Dina. Michael is evil and crazy and fame mad (I think that must be where Lindsay gets is from) but something inside me says Dina isn't all evil, she's just in denial that if her daughter tells her she's fine then she is fine, sure she's stage mom-ish and has been wh*ring out Lindsay since she was an toddler but I doubt she ever wanted this for her daughter. Parents definitly make mistakes to, Lindsay was her first child so I guess she was the practice child. It was a mistake to let Lindsay go to L.A. alone at 16, but I can't help but think her own issues and denial get in the way of her parenting. Also she seems pretty devouted to her kids (which obviously clouds her judgement) and unlike Michael she isn't dating p*rn stars, I've actually never heard of her dating anyone, so at least you can't say she exposes her kids to that kind of filth. She just seems to love making her children's dreams come true, as anyone good mom does but unlike normal moms she seems to have zero perspective, i.e. if you try to steward your daughter and she hits you then you should be more intent on disciplining her instead of bending over and letting her wreak havoc.

^ And if they are there against their will, it's really tough... There have been studies done- only 20% of a given group in rehab will make it and live free of substances long term; many people need more than one treatment and with each additional session the odds get worse; for someone like Lindsay, the outlook is pretty bleak after three previous failures... Adding to her many problems is her need for self treatment after rehab (like outpatient counseling and AA/NA meetings) and staying totally away from the old lifestyle- 'friends' and clubs, etc...She would really need to totally change her life!!

in all seriousness, upbringing is a word LiLo's parents probably cant spell.
for a VERY long time, parents have the right to tell their kids how to live their lives and be strict enough about it so that later on, before straying to such levels, a child will think twice.
i see that lacking here in tremendous amounts.

in some ways at 23 Lindsay should use her head. God gifted us all with what we call a BRAIN.
its prob rotting in her head having not worked in years!

& kudos to avril. shes a cutie & i like that she stood up to LiLo like that.

Battle Of The Fake Losers
Michael Lohan, E*Trade, sanity and soap aren't Lindsay Lohan's only arch rivals. Apparently, the pride of Canada Avril Lavigne is also feeling the wrath of Blohan (feels like a hot bath in the Rock of Love Bus septic tank).

Page Six says that Avril, who is eternally a 13-year-old MySpace sl*t, is mad at LiLo for ignoring her at an event a while ago. Most people run home, light their saint candles and say a "thank you" prayer to the gods above whenever LiLo ignores them, but Avril felt the opposite. So when LiLo tried to play nice with her at the Chateau Marmont the other night, Avril threw shi right back at her which led to a public display of patheticness.

First of all, LiLo should curtsy and say thank you to anybody who calls her a fake loser, because that is probably the nicest thing anyone has said to her in MONTHS. Second of all, Avril Lavigne was most likely wearing a "Sk8R Gurlz Do It Better" trucker cap and sipping on an Ed Hardy energy drink, so she is only allowed to use the word loser if she's looking in a mirror. AND Avril is humping on Brody Jenner!

If the word loser had legs and arms, it would've ricocheted off of Lilo and drop kicked Avril in the mouth. Avril and LiLo both need to fuc* a faucet, because the Fake and Loser store is out of both of them.

Besides, didn't these two get the memo that the Chateau Marmont is not the place for creatures of irrelevancy to battle it out. Dancing with the Has-Beens is! Tuck your meat and take it to the dancefloor!

Lindsay Lohan has returned to Long Island to comfort her mother, Dina, after her uncle died, the actress said on her Twitter account.
A family spokeswoman told Newsday on Tuesday that Dina Lohan's brother, Christopher Sullivan, had died but did not provide details.

Lindsay lohan will finish alcohol education
Lindsay Lohan is close to completing her alcohol education class and has made up for parts of the programme she has previously missed.

Lindsay Lohan is on course to complete her alcohol education classes.

The 23-year-old actress – who was ordered to complete the programme as part of her 2007 sentence for cocaine use and driving under the influence (DUI) – is due to finish the classes by July, despite having missed some of the lessons.

A source said: “Lindsay will finish her alcohol education classes on time by July 2010.

“This date was set by Judge Marsha Revel, and even though there were some weeks that she missed class, Lindsay made up the class the following week by going twice.”A report on her progress is currently being prepared.

Meanwhile, Lindsay has denied claims she had a screaming row with Avril Lavigne – who reportedly branded her “fake” and “a loser” at Los Angeles hotel Chateau Marmont.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star said: “That is not true. I don’t know why I am such a target, but I think there’s a big misconception of who I am as a person.

“I’ve been working a lot, and it’s not a crime to go out and have fun with your friends… I do realise it’s silly of me to give people what they want – to see me out at night.”

Yesterday (11.05.10), Lindsay’s father Michael was reported to have begged a judge to send the troubled actress – who has denied an addiction to prescription drugs – to rehab.

His lawyer Lisa Bloom wrote a letter to the official presiding over her DUI case, which read: “It is clear to Michael that the current court-ordered condition of her probation – namely, that she is required only to attend alcohol education classes – is insufficient. ”

The letter went on to ask a judge to “order Lindsay into an inpatient residential drug and alcohol treatment programme”.

Lindsay has asked larry rudolph to help resurrect her career
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly approached Larry Rudolph and asked him to help resurrect her career.

Lohan was recently reported to have signed up to play Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace in a new movie.

TMZ claims Lohan approached Rudolph a few weeks ago and while he has been working with her and her team, he is not yet ‘fully committed’ to the task.

He has reportedly said he will take her on only if she will make a major effort to sort herself out.A source said: ‘He’s not 100 per cent in yet.’

Another source said: ‘If Rudolph feels Lindsay is ready, he’s onboard.’
