I don't understand why so many people are so viciously mean and gung ho for her to do wrong and suffer harsh consequences.

are you referring to people in this thread ?
because i dont think anyone here is being viciously mean
she got what she deserves.
you cant sit there and say that she doesnt deserve to be put in jail when she put the public in danger with her reckless driving while being under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
she violated her probations numerous times, its part of the law to get what she got.
just because shes a celebrity should she be treated differently then your average joe who had done the same things ?
if anything, lindsay got off more fair then anyone else probably would.
they probably wouldnt have been given 2 weeks before having to surrender, they would have been cuffed, booked and put in an orange jump suit within an hour of leaving the court room.

Did I hear her say "I was working with children" when she addressed the court?

no one is being vicious imo, just feeling that if it were them, there would be another whole scenario going on. in new jersey, if you received a sentence of probation and no jail for possession of a small amount of XXXXX, you could receive a sentence of 5 years in state prison for violating that probation. If you commit another crime while on probation, you can be held in jail without bail by the judge who sentenced you to probation and you can be sentenced to a consecutive state prison sentence for the new crime. so, essentially, violating probation causes you to have to spend the rest of your probation in jail. like, its worse to violate probation then be convicted of a crime (even a misdemeanor), complete your probation and then commit another crime. i didnt wtch the whole thing, but i get that she violated probation 2 or 3 times? any regular citizen would have already served their time.

i also think that people are tired of the whole blaming other people, reasons, things, etc for why she violated prob and the other stuff. its tiresome. i think people would be a lot more sympathetic if she took her turn to speak and said i messed up and i understand the consequences or maybe even acted like she understood the consequences at all the other hearings shes been to. imo :flower:

Did you not read my whole comment? I said "she did violate the conditions of her parol and these are the consequences".

And no, I'm not talking about this thread. I'm talking about the thousands of people commenting on the plea video and Perez Hilton calling her all these terrible names and saying frankly really f**ked up and sick things. I'm not getting into this debate with anyone anyway. I personally think it's no one's f**king business and no one here knows sh*t about what's really happened. All we know is what we've been told through the media and their "sources" so really, it's moronic to pass judgement on someone and something we don't know much about.
From what we do know through official court papers, she has violated her parol and she does deserve the sentence she's gotten, that's it.

Me too. There are only a couple of ways to force somebody to evaluate their incredibly dangerous priorities and this is one of them.
So 3 months jail which will probably be reduced and then 3 months rehab? The judge is doing her a favour.
PS. Maybe her mouth will have deflated by the time she gets out?

What are all these sick and fcked up things ?
im always reading perez and i didnt see him saying anyting like that other then she fcked her life up because thats exactly what she did
if none of this stuff was true she wouldt be going to jail now would she ?
tmz is the most reliable out of them all, harvey knows his shiit when it comes to legal stuff seeing as he was a lawyer (used to love watching him on peoples court )

either way, im pretty sure trials like this can be public because if t wasnt they wouldnt have been able to have media in the court room
plus whenever lindsay would speak to her lawyer there would be no sound because that was the 'off record' stuff
everything else is public and on record

all that being said, shes a celebrity, her every movement is going to be judged no matter what she does and when she makes huge mistakes like this of course people are going to judge her even more

and the 'fck you' on her nail is proof of just how damn childish this girl is
seriously, your going to court and might be thrown in jail and your going to be photographed and you go in with that written on your nail ?
i hope while shes in jail she grows up and realizes how bad her life is and tries to set it straight again
6 months away from HW might actually do her some good
especially going to jail, if that doesnt wake her up then she has no hope in the future

i dont know why, but i feel bad for her

I do too. I always feel bad for people who've messed up, even if I understand they have to pay for it, etc.

At the same time though, I'm almost glad she's gonna go to jail, or at least get the scare. Not because I want her to suffer, but because I think she needs seriously help. She needs a wakeup call and hopefully this will do it. She's wasted her life and she hasn't been able to turn around herself, so I really hope this will help her. I know her father is getting all kinds of hate in the media, but I think he's the more rational one in that family. Her mom is just delusional, covering up for Lindsay all the time. Though maybe I could understand if I were in her shoes, I'd want to protect my child too.

This is, unfortunately, the best career move she ever could have devised on her own.

couldn't agree more with you.
now i just hope for her good that she doesn't do any more stupid moves till the 20th of july (and i'm having terrible feeling about this because the girl..she's been living under Monroe's myth for a long long time..) and that her sentence doesn't get reduced..btw even if Nicole's 4 days became 80 hours..i mean.. Lindsay has 90 days..wich is pretty much a lot more!..

You keep half reading what I write and then replying. I said people commenting on YouTube and Perez Hilton, not Perez himself.
And TMZ doesn't report news, they're not reliable, they're gossipers who report gossip. The bottom line is none of the people commenting her know what they're talking about because none of them know Lindsay personally nor do they know the full situation. It's no ones business. People f**k up, the only reason why it's "news" is because she's Lindsay Lohan.

My point really has nothing to do with Lindsay, it has to do with the fact that it's pathetic that people pass judgement on something they know barely anything about.

ill pass judgement on drunk drivers every day of the year.

you can go into most court rooms as an observer. and theres court tv. she always says she loves the spotlight and knew she was going to have to go through this as an actress, so theres no way she can say, no, not this time, because its not a red carpet and youre not here to lavish me with compliments. it goes both ways and they all know that going in and thats why you see some stars who know how to acquire their privacy. they dont exactly report their every move on twitter.

i agree, her sentence will be reduced dramatically. she will prob spend 1/4 of it in jail, if that long, so ive read. what i hope for her is these doctors who evaluate her can see past her acting ability and poor me exclamations and really send her to a rehab that will help her. not just one that deals with XXXX but like, real mental issues and family stuff so she can function with whatever damage she and her family have done to her. and its not cause shes a star or cause i give a crap about famous people but because shes a person who seriously needs all kinds of help.

u guys are talking as if that s it her life is over, all sayin oh she f.cked up her life blah blah blah

she s barely 24 her life is JUST begining, get over it.
am sure nobody here is a saint

am sure nobody here is a saint

We may not be saints but I for one have never driven drunk (multiple times), never been to rehab (multiple times), never hijacked a car and blamed "the black kid", missed court appearance to party in Cannes, "lost" my passport to party in the aforementioned Cannes and I've definitely never been fitted for a SCRAM device twice.
But you're right, abhorring her behaviour is equally as bad.
