Project Runway Season Four

Elisa is hands down the nicest person ever on reality TV.:flower:
I don't recall her saying a bad word about anyone or their designs the entire time.

Love Tim's take on Christian's Reese's dress.
If only he had said Michael Knight did something similar- but better- with coffee filters his season and didn't score a win!.....:innocent:

The coffee filter dress was MUCH better because it was sculptural. Christian had a plain dress with glued on wrappers. Nothing was innovative about it.

I'm so over this show lately... all the challenges have been lame :innocent:

^^I kind of agree...have them do more challenges that represent who they are...have some more challenges like the couture challenge of season 3...have them make something real. Please no more gimmicks.

^the couture challenge wasnt till later in the season though. i think the first half of the season is just to challenge their creativity and how they do with pressure, then the last few challenges are to show pieces that represent their point of view

^^That's true...I guess that is actually pretty smart...weed out the ones who have no creativity at all/ no construction skills at all...then start doing the real stuff. I never thought of it that way, thanks kochie.

Let's not forget, the very first challange of the first season was creating clothes from stuff they found at a grocery store! And it produced that beautiful corn husk dress by Austin.

I don't think these challenges are any different than the ones in the past.

I agree.
I'd venture to think this season is actually better than the others because I think more people are more successful with each challenge. I find myself every week thinking "wow that's really good" to many of the outfits.

Agreed. This season is much more design-oriented. No frills, no fuss, no theatrics - save Christian, of course. :yuk:

Elisa did not deserve to go home, I think. Sure, she was something of an oddity, but the women had obvious talent and a strong P.O.V. Sweet P's designs are boring and half-hearted at best.

While Jillian may appear to be sucking on an imaginary lemon most of the time, I am consistently impressed by her designs. Rami, too. I am guessing the top 3 will be comprised of Jillian, Rami, and Victorya...?

^ There was a pic posted on Kevin's myspace which seems to show him backstage at Bryant Park so I think he'll end up in the final 3.

I wouldn't be shocked or disappointed if Kevin made it to the final 3! I think his work has consistently been good. But they haven't shown yet, right?

As for the 4 I want to see show, I pick Rami, Kit, Chris March and Christian.

I'm so glad Christian is still "IN." The dress was horrid but everything he says cracks.me.up. Plus I knew he wasn't going home because he has had designs that the judges really liked and an interesting point of view whereas Kevin has been consistent but has flown under the radar for the most part.

Glad Sweet P finally had a dress the judges liked.

It's so inevitable that Rami will be in the top 3 that I'm not even rooting for him.

^^Hm, could it be Christian's ignoramus client, Maddie? Lace, gold, black, brown, that nasty ruching? WTF, this isn't "House of Dereon" honey. I just wanted to slap the hell out of her.

^^ Christian finally met his match...someone was actually more obnoxious than him...but without an ounce of his taste or wit.

It doesn't matter what Maddy wanted. Anyone who has ever been to prom knows that 99% of the dresses there are TACKY. It's not shocking that a 17 year old girl would want an explosion of glitter. It's Christian's job as an ADULT to handle the situation with maturity and make something he could be proud of.

Notice how Sweet P's girl wanted a plunging back and front, but she edited it to make it more appropriate and suitable for the event? That's what Christian should've done. Unfortunately he's just as whiny and immature as his client. Except he's supposed to be a grown man.

He's only 21. Sweet P, being much older, was able to say..."I'm not letting a 17 year old send me home." or something to that effect...Rami on the other hand, just did what he always does without considering the client AT ALL.
