This season is approaching ANTM-style ridiculous proportions. I'm soooo sick of Ricky's face.

Loved the challenge, hated most of the results.

Much as I like his work (with the exception of tonight) Rami deserved to go imo. His garment was boring and his behavior was less than acceptable. Victoria and Jillian's look, though chic, wasn't really all that avant garde considering how many designers did jodphurs for f/w 07. It was a chic look, but not at all strange or new.

Not surprising who won, the dress made an impact and was pretty amazing but...

i do not understand how people like Ricky and Sweet Pea, who are borderline terrible every week, are continually chosen to stay while Kit is ignored the entire time and is sent home the instant she makes a mistake. the judges have bad taste.

once again, Christian is praised for copying a million other designs. the dress Marcia was wearing was like, the epitome of a standard couture dress. blablahblah.

i'm so disappointed right now.

Seriously, Kit has done GREAT work and the instant she makes a mistake she's sent packing. Meanwhile Ricky sucks EVERY SINGLE WEEK and he's still there? Hate hate hate hate the judges!

98% of everything that is shown on the runway, has had some influence from something else. Avant Garde can range from total absurdity, completely unwearable, to something that is wearable with fairly large appeal. Yet someone, somehow, somewhere will call it either brilliant or bulls***. Considering they have two days to construct it, the top two teams did outstanding work. I really liked Sweet Peas rtw dress also. Ricky's rtw dress looked like it wouldn't even sell in the deepest discount rack at Forever 21 (mainly for the fabric).

I agreed with the judges that Rami's was a been there seen that garment from him. Plus those hideous pants were...hideous. My favorite was Victorya's though.

And in the history of Project Runway they have always let good people go early and kept the weaker ones (Season 1's Wendy Pepper anyone?)

^Wendy was at least a controversial character that may have generated ratings, though (And as expected there was drama during the finale). It's just unfathomable why Ricky is still there this season...I don't think anyone really wants to see him cry any longer

RICKI IS STUPID!!!!!!!!!!

OK...

I loved the challenge. I thought it was a lot of fun and there were some great designs...well sorta. I really liked Victorya and Jillian's. I liked Chris and Christian's, but I don't think it was SUPERB.

However, I saw a LOT of similarities in most of the designs.

Rami/ Sweet P's avant garde look reminded me of Givenchy Haute Couture FW 07

Maybe it was just me, but all the detail work in the bodice, it being worn over pants, etc.


I liked Chris/ Christian's couture look. However, it does look like McQueen SS 03

and their RTW look was SO PAINFULLY YSL SS 06

Kit and Ricki (stupid guy)'s outfit reminded me of Galliano FW 04 meets Viktor & Rolf SS 05/ FW 07.

Jillian/ Victorya's look reminded me a bit of Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture FW 07. Even though I LOVED the coat, I could have done without the tartan (I don't know why so many people think that tartan automatically equals avante garde...I mean, I love tartan when it is impeccably used, but I don't think it was perfect here. I actually think it looks GREAT as the piping, but I'm not head over heals for the skirt part. )

Ricki should have gone, even though their outfit wasn't the best. Even if Kit was the leader, it doesn't mean that she automatically goes home....Ricki just sucks. I wish they would take consistency into account because then they might realize that, although Kit hasn't been superb, at least they would realize that Ricki has been lousy every time.
