Justtttt kidding. But I don't think Adriana should get it again so soon. She didn't impress me much with the first one... in fact, she was too busy pointing around and gesturing for it to really stand out much at all.

^ I can't imagine Kylie being picked to wear the fantasy bra. Can you imagine the number of diamonds and precious jewels that would take?

That's not stopped them before. Honestly almost every girl that gets the fantasy bra gets it every other year, plus it wouldn't surprise me with everything VS is planning for her next year. But we'll see, I think Marisa showed this year it wasn't Adriana that didn't make the fantasy bra stand out, because Marisa didn't either, I think it's truly that CBS isn't caring to showcase it as much anymore as they did before.
As for Kylie, while I don't care for her...I actually like her better than some models on the angel squad.
Oh i so agree with this. Plus you can look at past VSFS for evidence. One year we can count out is 2005 because I don't think they ever even mentioned the fantasy bra in the entire production. But 2006 and 2007 had big intro's for the Fantasy Bra. 2008 had Heidi introducing Adriana's bra. So it was kind of confusing.. and plus they showed more audience and Adriana interacting than the actual bra. 2009 was a quick "Marisa with the Fantasy Bra" and bam it's on the runway. No segment in the actual show.
it's come to the point where people either have to watch ET or E! or Access Hollywood or have to go online to know about the fantasy bra and who is wearing it.

Like VS had big plans to use her a lot in this years show? I know you have sources that say that Adriana is going to be used for this and that and huge things are in store, but none of it seems to have actually happened.
Adriana didn't even promote the fantasy bra by herself, she was always with someone else because her speaking skills are just not that up to par. She's gorgeous, but she's best when she just does the sexy thing instead of trying to be fun and full of energy in such an obvious way. I watched the intro to the 2008 show a few days ago and she had me transfixed until she stepped out on the runway and started pointing... it just killed the whole moment.
I think Marisa showed this year it wasn't Adriana that didn't make the fantasy bra stand out, because Marisa didn't either, I think it's truly that CBS isn't caring to showcase it as much anymore as they did before.
I dont think its the models who wear it, its the BRA ITSELF! They dont put too much creativity and excellence in it as they did before.

Yes, and that poitning kills me! Adriana and Ale do it too much...pointing at everyone!!1 haha I watched Ale practice for the show in the empty room and she came out, pointing fingers everywhere at the empty room!!!

I watched the VSFS 2005 and 2006 today... I can't even compare this. And the model search is truly a mess in the whole show. I prefer even Heidi presenting, but the Angels talking, not two girls I truly don't care.

The thing is dear, she did do a lot, and taped a LOT of pre-taped stuff, and CBS decided not to use it along with tons of other Angels material. I actually was speaking with someone who works for Madoff Productions (does a LOT of editing for VS, not CBS) and he said that each Angel...and Adriana did a lot of hosting, and each angel had their own things..and CBS didn't use it. So he doesn't know what happened, but it was more CBS's call not VS. Heck CBS even added angels in the intro that aren't angels...and weren't even "new faces" they really don't know what they're doing.
As for speaking skills, and promoting...I wouldn't be saying that...if they were that worried about it, they wouldn't have sent her on her own tour last year, did most of the public signings, hosted the What is Sexy Special, did tons and tons and tons of radio and tv interviews last year...VS isn't concerned about her speaking skills at all.
I've had 6-10 people confirm all the her comeback stuff next year, and I would not be surprised if the bra is part of that at all. With Miranda not getting it already (and her fame with Orlando, would have caused her to receive it already, it doesn't look good) Doutzen I'd say would be the other girl in the running, if she doesn't loose her contract.
As for the waving and pointing (that ALL the models do now) we can criticize all we want, but the general public loves it. What's the one thing that most of the public complains about when it comes to models? "Why don't they smile or have fun?" well if you sit most people down and they watch the 2003 shows where the girls aren't pointing, waving arms or anything they get bored...while all of us may hate it...the public finds it entertaining, which is why I think VS makes them do it. Plus the girls love doing it, from everything that's said backstage.
But I agree, I'd like to see the angels back in the spotlight, and the music guest moved back into their own section and not on the runway, like 03 and before was. MUCH BETTER

dang this is some serious jerry springer drama. I would have loved to see Adriana be apart of this show. Same with all the little segments all the Angels film. I wonder if VS will move networks? Or does CBS have an iron grip on them?

pretty much. Think about last year...Adriana had the coolest opening, she opened the show, closed the first segment, was given a pair of the biggest wings and the fantasy bra, ALL by VS...basically to make her the star...and Heidi ended up being. Why? Because she's more well known. Adriana's pretty famous, but nothing compared to Heidi. Cbs is going to produce what they feel will bring a bigger audience. Like when Gisele and Heidi were in the show you'd always hear. ( I hate using Adriana in all these examples, but I know her the best and it's easier too)

They need to bring it to a "hipper" channel like Bravo, anyway. I bet Bravo would promote the hell out of it AND rerun it 100x for the next 2 weeks like it does every show.
I'd always assumed VS marketing execs had final call on what went in the show since this is essentially just one long advertisement. But I suppose it's right that the network has their say in what they feel will bring the biggest audience.
Unfortunately they go "what's the most popular type of show at the moment" and it's basically reality TV. Anything that involves audience participation like voting for something or judging panels and they want it, hence the Model Search. It's also pretty cheap but gets them a lot of hits on their website.
Shame it's to the detriment of the brand as it's devaluing what it means to be a VS angel.
Well, the 2001 show was aired by ABC. The structure for the show was half an hour of introducing each and every model and their background. Then a 9mins or so runway walk (some models even walked twice), and then a performance by an artist (Mary J. Blige), and then a final runway walk with all the models in it. Even in the 90's the structure for the show was one long catwalk segment. The Cannes Film Festical show in 2000 was like that also; one long catwalk segment, followed by a short catwalk segment with all the models.
Then VS switched to CBS in 2002, and that's when the segments and themes started.... That's also when the popularity of the show decreased. Most noticeably after 2003.
oooh yes Bravo does like re-runs. BUT Heidi just left bravo to go to lifetime with Project Runway. Idk if Bravo would want her back. And not everyone get's Bravo. and imo, I think VS wants as big as an audience watching as CBS does. It's just the entire who was the final say. Grrr
