^you really hit the nail in the head

I don't get why people dress slubby. Sweatpants aren't any easier to put on than regular pants. The same goes for worn-out hoodies vs regular tops. The funny thing is that the girls in the sweat pants usually look like they spent an hour doing their hair in the morning.
For example, I would often wear sweats to my final exams because I wanted to be uber-comfortable. If there is an issue of time, it's probably more in the time it takes to select an outfit. For many it's probably easier to just throw together a so called "slubby" outfit than something nicer.

Any suggestions how I can conform with the rules on these days but still look trendy?
Any suggestions how I can conform with the rules on these days but still look trendy? The last few years at college I'd just wear whatever I loved at the time & what I felt comfortable about myself in. Mostly dresses with tights and cardigans or jeans and a few different layered tops but now that I'm taking more science subjects this semester I have to wear enclosed shoes (sneakers) and long pants for pracs so I'm scared this will screw with my fashion senseAny suggestions how I can conform with the rules on these days but still look trendy?
