I was stunned to realised today that Lea Michele (from Glee) and Lindsay are the same age, 23. Both were child stars, both praised for their talent. They couldn't be more different now...

not defending her choices but i mean lindsay has had a drug abusing/enabler mother and a crazy father her entire life. she was doomed from the get-go. i feel badly for her but at the same time at some point she could have taken a different turn and didnt....

oh and a sidenote - ironically lea michele and lindsay are my fave girl crushes haha

.....does she not have any other family members? I mean.....clearly her parents are crap and not going to do anything, but what about an aunt, uncle, anyone, I don't know! Even her sister, Ali...I know she's only 16, but even she seems to just be standing idly by. I honestly do not have a good feeling about this whole situation. It's odd because then when something fatal happens that's when all the praise and remorse comes in, and it's the same people who were shunning in the first place. I genuinely do wish someone would step in, someone with her genuine interests at heart. I really think she just needs someone who would be there to actually HELP HER and not exploit and use. She needs helps big time, and she needs a VERY long break from the public eye, to recover and gain some sanity and sense of reality. But a part of me is thinking if no one steps in within the next couple months, it's seriously going to end badly.

I don't think she's going to be any kind of a star as she was initially post-Mean Girls. That's going to take years to earn back....years of lots of hard work, dedication, change, etc. She was once a good actress I think she could have gone on to so much more than what she's ended up becoming.

It's just sad now. Granted, things like her stumbling into the cactus, is pretty LOL to me (being honest!), but at the same time it's just pitiful, and even critical me has to want the girl to get better and stop damaging her life.

^ Michael Lohan beat up her uncle one time :flower:

Despite being fired from her next film gig, amid suggestions she was partying too much, troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan is preparing to head to Cannes, for the annual film festival.

Lohan was this week still making plans to head to the French party spot,

which runs from May 12 to 23, despite being embarrassingly culled from her next project, The Other Side.

The film’s financiers thought she wasn’t “bankable”, according to reports.

While at Cannes, Lohan will detail her next major role, a source has told

She has been chosen to play the role of Linda Lovelace, the late p*rn star known for her film Deep Throat, in the forthcoming biopic “Inferno”.

Good Lord! Looking at that photo of Ali is depressing. She's how old??!?!?!

Back a few pages, didn't someone say she got dumped from that role too?

No this year she was dumped from The Other Side and Dare To Love Me. Inferno is a new one for her.

^ There are 2 movies about Linda Lovelace being made. She's in the one called Inferno, not Lovelace.

^ gotcha. I wonder how long it'll take for her to get dumped from that one.

^ She's got the lead locked up for "Cycle Sluts 5: This time, it's really personal" which will be going into production as soon as this guy she met at Butter the other night sells his Harley...

^ She'll have to beat out Shana Sands Lamas and Snooki for that role - after all they are are celebs who she's competing with these days to host New Jersey pool parties.

This explains why she suddenly claimed to be over the club scene

Troubled Lindsay Lohan has been banned from hot LA club Trousdale after throwing a glass at ex Samantha Ronson's head. Witnesses tell us that Ronson was sitting with friends when Lohan stormed up and suddenly threw her drink -- including the glass -- at her on Friday night. A spy told us: "Samantha was DJ-ing and went to sit with her friends when Lindsay stormed over and threw a glass at her head. Glass flew everywhere, and Samantha looked really shaken up. The club owner asked Lindsay to leave and was overheard saying she'll never come back." Ronson, who was unhurt and continued to party with her pals, wrote on Twitter: "Just got a glass thrown at my head . . . Hmmm -- wonder who did it." It was a tough week for Lohan, whose dad, Michael, turned up at her Hollywood apartment with cops to check on her sister Ali. Lohan also claimed Ronson "spat in her face" at a Coachella party, but Ronson denied it.

^ Yes, but the New Jersey Pool Party Hosting scene has really dried up, you should pardon the expression- mostly since the hotels and casinos here that do such things are having trouble keeping their staff and paying the mortgage... I am hoping for a major upturn this summer when perhaps Lindsay can 'host' a wet T shirt contest in Seaside Heights where the Jersey Shore kids hung out- I am sure the owner will go for free drinks and a pack of Parliaments for her- no problem (transportation and lodging not included)...And, Linds, if you're reading this, I know a swingin' club by the beach (owned by one of the well know 'families' in NY) that hires several chicks like yourself every summer as 'shot girls'- you get to wear tight shorts and one of those cute little holster things- you'll make lots of new friends and be out of debt in no time, trust me!
When was the last time she did one of these 'hosting' gigs? Seems like quite a while, if you discount the Harrah's Pool Party a month or two ago...That really would be a quick way for her to make some much needed money, wouldn't it?

^^oh.it's the same old lindsay-drama!when i first read that tweet i thought she finally have learned the lesson and wanted to focus on her career again..

She was a DJ for a Nokia party in London last month or the month before. And there was the Red Cross fundraiser she arrived 2 hours late for.

^ That's right! I'll bet they were thrilled to write out a check to her for that gig- or 1/2 gig... :p

^And, yes Isa.b.elle, she only appears to have had a short conversion...

Later that evening, LiLo tweeted, "Last night - never again - believe it or not she's done with the club scene i've learned my lesson - sometime's it just takes a glimpse of reality."
However, by the time Saturday night rolled around Lindsay was spied sneaking into the Chateau Marmont around 2am.

Hollywood Investments: Why Lindsay Lohan Is So Unbankable

Lindsay Lohan was dropped from 'The Other Side' last week after the film's financial backers deemed her "unbankable," a sterile way of saying poor Linds has become, plain and simple, a bad investment.

How has a girl once compared to a young Jodie Foster and able to generate a 300 percent return on investment for a movie as bad as 'Herbie Fully Loaded' become box office kryptonite?

By making a lot of bad decisions.

It isn't just that Lindsay's history of partying and **** abuse have made her difficult to insure. No actor, if a studio believes they will be an asset to a film, is impossible to insure.

"Insuring a celebrity is just like insuring any person or product -- the more likelihood there is of a problem, the higher the insurance premium. Someone with a pre-existing record of misbehavior or health issues might be more expensive to insure on a film set, but that doesn't mean they can't get insurance at a price," explains Hollywood Reporter Features Managing Editor Matthew Belloni.

So Lindsay would be expensive to insure, no doubt, but that's not the reason she's unbankable. The problem is that she has become unlikeable. Hollywood is like a high school popularity contest where popularity translates into dollars. The more America likes you, the better your movie will do at the box office.

Likability may seem difficult to quantify, but it's actually pretty simple. When a movie studio wants to measure a celebrity's likability, they turn to a company called Marketing Evaluations and their decades-old Q score rating, a quotient of how positively or negatively America feels about a given star.

Let's start with freckly-faced 'Mean Girls' Lohan. In 2004, Lindsay was familiar to only 20% of the American public. Her positive Q was a 19 and her negative was a 20. She had so far only been in kids and teen movies, and teen stars tend to have a lower familiarity with general audiences. For example, your dad probably doesn't know who Miley Cyrus is, but that doesn't mean she doesn't rock. But Lindsay's positive and negative Q scores in 2004 were by no means polarizing. At this point, she was still considered a good investment, if one that needed some extra attention in order to best position her brand.

By 2005, when her excessive partying and un-Disney-like behavior began to be chronicled in entertainment magazines, her name recognition skyrocketed to 53% and with it a negative Q of 33, with a positive of only 13. With each bad decision Lindsay made, the gap between her positive and negative Q scores only widened. Lindsay was systematically proving that not all press is good press and that America had little tolerance for squandered talent.

By 2006, her familiarity was 72%, well above average. Her positive Q was a 13; her negative, 37.

After her arrests and subsequent rehabilitations, Lohan's Q again fell in 2007. With 74% familiarity, she had a positive rating of 11 and a negative rating of 43. Her wishy-washy relationship with Samantha Ronson (as well as her flip-slop stance on going gay), coupled with her nude photo shoot in New York magazine (for which she was not compensated and was uniformly derided), increased her familiarity to 80% in 2008. Her positive rating remained an 11, while her negative rating shot up to a 52.

This year, 84% of Americans polled were familiar with Lindsay. Her positive rating has reached a low of 9, and her negative rating hovers at 52. Five times more people dislike Lindsay than are rooting for her.

You could argue that getting those nine Lindsay Lohan fans, out of every 100 possible moviegoers, is still better than getting zero people into a theater. The problem with Lindsay is how negatively so many people feel about her. For every nine people who will see that movie, 52 out of 100 people will be so turned off by her presence that they may choose not to see it.

The people have spoken and what they are saying is that Lindsay is a bad investment.

^ Looks like she has a bright future in the fast food counter service business... She should read Marianne Faithful's autobiography, where she went from rock queen with all kinds of number one hits and being Mick Jagger's girlfriend, tabloid darling and Queen of Swing London in the 60s to addict turning tricks on the street...But Lindsay would never see the point, I imagine...:(

NBC News is reporting her father is going to court today to establish a conservatorship for her al a Britney- at least someone is doing something to try and help her....
