tbh...i wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe in this "crazy in love marriage" but since she sold it to the tabloids and got pretty much everything sponsored (the cake, jewelery, dress, everything was mentioned in the article, so she got it either for free or at a high discount) and it's perfect for her to be the center of attention come BD promotion (with the big wedding in the movie i bet everyone will ask her/the others about her wedding) i just think this was purely for pr. at least the date, they could have married in between the two or even after the second movie comes out, quietly and privately but no, she had to go the public way. just when i thought she didn't care about tabloids and fame that much anymore.
but maybe i'm just an unromantic pessimist and only see the bad sides

yeah, i've only on ONTD found out she got everything sponsored, even the engagement ring (O_o), seems more like a perfect biz deal combined with her utter falling for this guy (which is, i think, undeniable after i saw all stuff on ONTD regarding their relationship). there's def no denying she squeezed a great deal of her wedding for her personal gain when it comes to public eye (and her bank account, sorry i have to be cynical about this too, but it's obvious whether you like this girl or not). i don't think it has necessarily to do anything with BD coming out (this cus nobody from the cast attended), it seems it's just more appropriate for her personally cus, as you said, there will be questions for her that if she didn't get married at this time wouldn't be asked during the promotion period which, "oh my gosh i can't believe it" gasp, is starting next week.

I think people are too hard on Nikki. She was friends with Kristen and Rob and then they started dating - which must have been weird for her especially if she fooled around with Rob. If she is happy great for her - why can't people leave her alone. She didn't invite any Twi people but Kellan and Jackson seem to be happy for her via twitter. I think she left everyone off the list because there would have been too much gossip if she invited some and not others.

..cus this way, knowing no one from the cast was invited/attended there won't be any gossip? i'm thinking it's the opposite (just an example and case in point: this thread).

Apparently, one of SW staff said that he is in UK and visited the set 3 times, and was very concerned about K's safety (based on the last injuries).
