Vogue Paris October 2013 : Edita Vilkeviciute by Mario Testino

nah, it doesn't really "go without saying". you were communicating to everyone that Edita was the sole person to blame for the lackluster cover. which she isn't. I'm aware that you aren't oblivious about the industry, but that's what you were making yourself out to be with your initial comments about the cover.

If you come from a very pro-Edita attitude, I guess you might interpret it that way. I don't have time to write a thesis in each post.

Edita is a decent model, but this was just not one of her shining moments. Mostly because she was cast wrong. I think she would do better on a cute wrapped up in knits fall cover instead, that fits her range better. This feels like it was prepared for Lara, she was unavailable and they then wanted a classy, perfect blonde with a nice rack. Only, looks, though a prerequisite, is not all that matters.

I do like that they chose Edita to be the cover girl but the photography hurts me.Emm,Testino, take a rest.

Edita really deserves a VP cover. But from what I see,it just totally a mess!

I don't understand why these threads always dissolve into model debate. I want to see what the editorials look like. The Phoebe Philo story sounds promising, though I wonder if it will be more of a straight up interview without an accompanying editorial.

The styling is sooo loud..and the bright and sunny picture doesn't help much..

If somebody can post scans of the Haute Joaillerie section when they can, I'd very grateful. :flower:

 Edita:heart:
it's great she got that cover, but this picture sucks, i blame Testino for that,
Åkrans, M&M or Sundsbø would be great for this kind of saturated photojob

Horrible styling (as well as photoshopping.) Who would rock leather standing at the beach in summertime Monaco?

I'm forgetting the October issue is always out early in Milan during fashion week, for anyone wanting to pick it up and do a review for us :shifty:.

Vogue Paris' website has been updated with some previews of the issue which include stories with Saskia de Brauw, Iselin Steiro and the cover story with Anja Rubik and Edita. I'm not near a laptop to post the previews, I apologise.

Karlie's hair ruining what could have been a really great editorial for me. She's not selling the sexy vibe, she looks like a goober.

Yeah, she's almost giving a Miley Cyrus vibe there...
