Project Runway Season 9

How good is Anya considering she has only been sewing for a few months!

i know, people act like it's going to be her downfall or something...it's not rocket science. she sews better than some of those people with formal training. did you see Cecilia's bumpy hem lines?! And the somebody else was using glue!

aw I liked Julie. She was definitely in her own little world and I am glad she stood by all her garments 100%.

Cecilia and Burt need to go. Horrible attitudes.

I especially hated Cecilia even more when she was in the room saying she would've rather went home. then why didn't she offer to save Julie?!

OMG, what an episode! Intense.

Burt is without a doubt one of the most horrible people to ever appear on PJ. And that's saying something. He infuriates me. His passive aggressiveness is so grating, can't even imagine having to work in a group with him. And the worst part is that all the judges seem to have a hard on for him, especially Heidi, and he can do no wrong in their eyes. UGHHHH, get eliminated already.

Can't believe the last team picked THAT PERSON. That won't end well.

I'm from Portugal, so I can only watch episodes online and I can't find yesterday's episode. :( Anyone has a link for it? Was it any good? I already checked and... (SPOILER)

it didn't go well for my favourite Anthony Ryan, right??

I agree with you, about Burt. He's creepy

Bert is definitely unpleasant, but don't forget about Josh either! He also has to be one of the most disgusting contestants they've had on in nine seasons. How on earth did the show find two? I can't believe Anya is so chummy with him after all his bullying, age-ist, misogynist crap. More, I still can't believe Becky didn't punch him in the face.

This whole season sucks. I think this is the first season we have ever had more than one contestant who is so unpleasant. Where did they find such an awful group of people?

And, because I'm apparently really angry about this, I have to say that it was beyond ridiculous that the judges rewarded Josh for his disgusting behavior by giving him the win for a dress that Anya designed and made. Seriously, judges? And it wasn't even a well-made dress! The back zipper looked stapled on at the top and unattached at the bottom, and the front stripe looked like it was glued on in random spots.

This entire episode was gross, from start to finish. With the exception of when we saw Bryce's team, there was not one single moment that didn't piss me off.

Everyone in this show is just copying Proenza Schouler (badly, might I add).

Josh gets under my skin. he's so cliche gay, I can't believe that's really his personality we're seeing. No one can be that buzzed 24/7. And his attitude completely stunk this episode, I too cannot believe he was rewarded with a win.

I'm team Bert. He is crotchety, I didn't like his comment about the other designers being from the midwest and that somehow made them less visionary, but there's no denying he is a good designer. His outfit was the best out of the team he was on, and they gave him hell for it during the process.

Anthony Ryan needs to stop acting like he's such a good designer, I have yet to see one thing that looks good from him. In a prior episode he and Becky had the same pattern and he kept saying how he was going to show her up on the runway with a better design, and she completely kicked his butt with her design. And this episode's multiple camel toes...honestly his good looks is carrying him at this point.

I have to say I loved Anthony Ryan and the other girl (forgot her name) were trying to throw Bert under the bus, only to discover his look was the one the judges liked. And while I understand why his clapping and commenting about his team on the runway was unnecessary, were they really surprised. It's funny that while they were waiting, Anthony Ryan and the other girl were saying how Bert shouldn't have commented and clapped on the runway since they were a team. Uh, 2 minutes ago both of you were saying how bad his outfit is before you found out the judges liked it.

Josh is so full of it. He was talking about how he never stood up for himself when he was young, and now he does and won't let anyone walk over him. Which is what you were doing to other people. It's funny because before he said he was picked on when he was younger, I could tell he was. He seems to be one of the many people today who wants to "keep it real" all the time. But then uses "keeping it real" as an excuse to be nasty, rude, and hurtful to people.

I'm so mad that I still can't find this episode online. From what you'v been saying, it sounds intense...

Different strokes for different folks ^_^
When I first saw him, I saw a creeper pedo... I honestly don't why

I believe it's available for download now, somewhere.

Oh, that runway scene was hilarious. The look that Nina Garcia and Michael Kors shot each other when Anthony Ryan and Laura were going on and on about how Bert's outfit looked like an awful cocktail dress cracked me up. They were like, "Oh, just you wait until it's our turn to talk!"

He seems to be one of the many people today who wants to "keep it real" all the time. But then uses "keeping it real" as an excuse to be nasty, rude, and hurtful to people.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine. Somewhere along the way, people forgot that it's possible to disagree or to criticize without being nasty and obnoxious. I know Julie laughed off a lot of his comments, for example, but that not-really-a-whisper whisper to Anya that he was glad she wasn't Julie was so immature.

Plus, he actually had the nerve to call Becky and her aesthetic dowdy! I'd rather wear the dress Becky made last week than one of Josh's bedazzled wonders. And I'm not in the "forty to death" demographic yet, so I still have taste. (Yes, I know that, given that he's an enormous, gigantic douchewaffle, "dowdy" really meant that Becky herself is old and/or fat, but let's just pretend he was being straightforward for ten seconds.)

I'm shocked people are defending Burt.

I'm sorry but how can you defend that behavior?

They were no more trying to 'throw him under the bus' than they were trying to explain what happened. Burt was acting like a tool all episode and from what I saw, both Anthony and Laura tried to reason with him, tried to compromise with him. This isn't the first time either that Burt causes a havoc within a group. In fact, every week he's been there he's been nothing but despicable. In my opinion, he's one of the most vile contestants ever to be on the show. When every other person in the room has a problem with you, chances are, you need to work on yourself. It's a weird irony that he's the oldest of the group, but without a doubt the most immature.

Who's defending Bert? (Burt?). Are you talking about the judges defending him? The judges obviously don't see what's going on backstage. Bert seems to put on a "quiet" facade when there are "important" people watching him (ie. Heidi, Tim Gunn). I remember Christian Siriano playing the devil and thinking he was above everyone else... it was comical when Christian did it... but when Bert does it... it's just tasteless and annoying.

His ego is just "up there" he even mentioned that he didn't want to come on Project Runway because he thought it was stupid (not an exact quote, but similar). I don't see anything special in his designs either. Sure I guess he's one of the "best" in that bunch of designers and sure he can make well tailored clothes, but there's no imagination, at least none that I've seen so far.
