I'm actually a little offended that they didn't send Kenley home. Yes, the dress was pretty and well made, but Michael and Nina both called it out for being a complete knockoff of a McQueen pieces that was shown fairly recently. The fact that they didn't see that as enough reason to send her home is a travesty imo, and it has nothing to do with my dislike of her as a person.

I also think that it was pretty unfair of them to include Jerrell in this last challenge. Isn't the beauty of winning the "final challenge" that you're automatically given a spot at Bryant Park? His dress was heinous, kind of like the inbred cousin of Carrie Bradshaw's Viv Westwood wedding dress from SATC, but he should never have had to make a wedding dress to begin with.

Even though I didn't like Korto's dresses, I like her collection, so I am glad that she made it to BP.

Couldn't agree with you more. This was not the first time a piece of Kenley's resembled a major fashion house's. It's like when someone plagiarizes and tries to cover it up by changing a couple of words around. What's the difference, then, between her and people that make fake Fendi's?

I feel bad for Jarrel, who was just kept around to be thrown out at a more suitable time.

Those two McQueen dresses were from his F/W 08 collection.

I agree with almost every single sentiment echoed here. The fact that Kenley has consistently made dresses that look like allusions to things that have already walked down runways (and then claims to "not look at other collections") is almost insulting to the spirit of the show. The McQueen reference tops it, but the judges have called her out on the same topic a bunch of times before.

Thats exactly what I was thinking too. I don't really understand her collections inspiration? Tugboats and rope?! For heavens sake, I have no idea.. All I know is that her one dress, that looked like it had a "lasso around the neck" ala Tim Gunn, was totally not cohesive with the McQueen Fall/Winter 08' bastard child of a dress.

When I first saw the dress, I really liked it. I was actually quite shocked and happy for Kenley to put something like that together.. This was until the judges said something, which caused me to google it. I should have known she didn't have enough talent or imagination to come up with that herself. But alas, she totally lost my respect as a designer and as a person. It proves that she really is as fake as the other designers claim.

She probably made that remark about not looking at other designers collections, that way when she clones their work she thinks she can get away with it without looking like a total fraud. There is no chance after seeing those pictures that Kenley came up with that all on her own. She has absolutely no respect for other designers or their work..

Kenley's looks more like the red McQueen, she deserved to stay though. Jerrell's collection, from what we saw with Tim's visit, was a complete and utter disaster. No one would wear half that crap. That being said, I thought his wedding dress was better than Korto...

Leanne will obiovuisly win, at least it looks that way. She has the best vision...

^I didn't like Jerrell's collection either, but I also didn't like the fact that Kenley sorta copied the McQueen dress. But if I were to choose one from both of them I think I'll choose Kenley.

Yeah I mean I get the McQueen connection and how that can be offensive but at the end of the day, it looked good. At least it was a good McQueen knock-off, I think that is why Michael and Nina let it slide, I also think Kenley saved herself by not immediately catching an attitude with them.

But we saw the rest of her collection and it was very good, the hand-painted dress was beautiful...Korto's collection was much better than her wedding dress.

Jerrell's overall colleciton was very messy, I mean the fishnet cover he wanted to turn into sleeves was a hot mess. The only person who might like that is my eccentric old aunt...

I am trying to be so good and wait for it to come on UK tv but you guys are killing me I might have to succumb to the lure of youtube! I think a PR5 marathon is upon me!

^go watch it on youtube, haha it's worth it. this season's contestants are kinda disappointing but all the drama got me hooked!!

Why was there no reunion episode? :( Usually they air them before part 1 of the finale episode.. I wanted to see Wesley, damn it!

^I wanna see Wesley too!!! Hahaha. Maybe they'll show it next week? I'm pretty sure Kenley will be "crucified" for her bitchy-ness if ever there would be a reunion episode. :D

One odd thing from last night was the fact that Kenley had no friends or family present in her Tim home visit. I thought that was kinda sad...

I noticed that too.

Very strange...

It's not really that odd.

She said she grew up in Florida and moved to NY right out of college, so she's on her own up here.

The rest of the designers live near their families.

As for her dress, my whole thing is this. If something is a complete knockoff, and Kenley's dress is, it's not just a vague similarity between hers and McQueen's, I don't care how well made and perfect it is. The fact that there's zero originality kills it for me. I'd rather have a poorly executed dress that looks like the designer put their own stamp on it than a perfectly executed xerox of another designer's work. In the case of PR, originality should win out over execution. If these designers are being groomed as the next great American designer, it's important to remember that the fashion world is probably more likely to forgive and forget an uneven hem before they forgive and forget that you plagiarized someone else's work.

Again, check out http://www.projectrungay.blogspot.com/

They're much in agreement about the McQueen rip off. I KNEW they'd let Jerrell go and it'd be all 3 women going as competitors. I actually would like to see Korto win because she seems to be really sweet and genuine and sincere, however I do like Leanne's designs better. No comment on Kenley. See the blog.

In "Coming up on project runway" Kenley said: We all know who you are, to a model. Does anybody know who that model was? :D

Here's a pic of Wesley or whatever for whom was longing for him...so proof that he's at the reunion.
