Style.com's Top Ten New Faces - F/W 07.08

Tomorrow will be an important day with both Jil Sander and Prada..I'm so curious

I know I'm so excited to see which of my new favorite make that career escalating walk down the Prada runways. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER, to hear about Serafima, I've loved her look for awhile and am so pumped to hear about her and Prada! She's a refreshing look for the brand!

Well better late than never. Though it would almost seem that someone was reading through the threads...:innocent:

Speaking of manifest, since half our current Top 10 Newcomers were in actuality girls who broke out of London, Milan and Paris last season, MDC is going with the market forces and launching its Top 10 Newcomers (Europe) division starting this coming week. In between the restrictive visa stipulations that limit even new campaign faces from entering the US as well as the increasing conservatism of NY runway clients it seems the future of breaking faces is the platform of London, Milan and Paris. And it is certainly time to give those mother agencies their due. Stay tune for the imminent upload of the shortlist.
(MDC)

Well this will help solidify some names for the official list!

 Oh my goodness! It's like they took the words right out of our mouths

MDC's first super new and improved prediction for Europe:

Carolina Pantoliano has moved surely and steadily through both NY and London’s Fall show week thus far but OTM is tracking signals that indicate that the European platform is about to unreservedly embrace this elegant Brazilian. With a beautifully composed presence and walk, we can’t wait to see the sense of chic that she’ll bring to those directional catwalks.

Charlotte Pallister is doing an exclusive for Jil Sander

But do we really think the 16 y/o rule will be followed?

...
Clearly not without exception. Johanna J is all over the place (though she turns 16 in December). Johanna Stickland (14) will walk for Jil Sander today, Luize (just turned 15) has a Milan showcard and might well turn up at some major show...

These are girls on a roll, though. Of course the agencies won't hold them back. But perhaps the rule somewhat affected what new, unknown faces the agencies chose to launch this season? :ermm:

If the rule's this easy to disregard, though... It's (thanksfully) still pretty unusual that girls under 16 show up in Milan anyway, and if the ones who do all successfully apply for excemption...
.

^Don't forget Chanel, Camila, Tanya...many, many exceptions, apparently!

^I thought Chanel was still 15  Tanya...does anyone know for sure :o She still lists herself as 15

I always thought Chanel was 17 or 18. :o And didn't Tanya turn 16? Baah, I have no clue, really, don't listen to me.

But Olga defintely has a point, there seems to be about as many youngsters as usual in Milan.

^Yes indeed...and hm, I might be wrong about Chanel - must double-check!

They all lie anyway. I think it's only they and their mothers that know for sure. :shifty:

Btw, Charlotte Pallister is apparently 14. :innocent:

I think Jil Sander was a little disappointing in the new faces/exclusives department, but now it's time for Miuccia to show us what she's got! :bounce::magic:

It's slightly disturbing just how excited I get about these things, though. :ninja:

I really like the look of Charlotte Pallister, but I agree Saracita, no one really stood out to me. The girl who opened it...yah...not really my type.

Also, don't feel bad, or disturbed even, we all get excited for these sorts of things!

i think everyone who posts in the model forums on tfs get excited about these things!

Lets not forget Viviane Orth also did Jil Sander and some other shows so far!
