Style.com's Top Ten New Faces - F/W 07.08

^Wow, I have no idea how I missed that  (One of those "It's definitely already on the list because it's so obvious that she would do it" moments...) Thanks for catching it!

I have to agree out of the two Johannas i would also pick Jonsson.

Btw anyone mentioned Han Hye Jin already? - what she did in New York was amazing and she seem to be doing good in Milan too. I have to admitt i dont like her and dont even know if she is really new this season but i havent noticed her last season (maybe i was just an ignorant:P )

^ this is her third runway season already...so she's hardly a new face
Haha so than it was me - i didnt pay any attention to her since her runway look is not very appealing to me  .

I believe she ended up second place last season after NY, just behind Iekeliene...she at least did a million of them as well and we were hoping for her to be on the list too, but alas :(

She's def on my personal line-up though

She would deserve to appear on some top list that is for sure - she was evrywhere this season.

That's how most of us felt last year at this time. Thinking than Han was guarenteed a spot, but alas, they really just wanted the newest of the new. Which was the same mentality with Daiane last season.

Anyhow, as for Johanna Jonsson, I agree that's she's been remarkable in Milan thus far, and she's definitely moved to the watch top of my list.

MDC picks Irina Kulikova as their second choice in their "Europe Top Ten":

In the tradition of Daria, Sasha and Anna-Mariya, its a well kept secret of an IMG girl who bolts out of the box as Look 1 at this season’s Prada showing. And as is our bi-annual policy, the first girl at always Prada nabs the latest Top 10 Newcomer slot. The intrigue starts!

I think Danielle Hamm should be added to the watch list. She did some major shows in Milan so far (Burberry, Marni, D&G) as well as Marc Jacobs and some other NY shows.

See Jules, the "watch list" name is starting to stick huh?! I also second that addition of Danielle Hamm, she kind of popped up out of nowhere. All of the sudden she's visible in Milan. Definitely something to watch out for.

These are my safest bets for list after Milan.

Irina Kulikova
Diana Moldovan
Kasia Struss
Olga Sherer
Johanna Jonsson
Johanna Stickland
Alyona Osmanova
Carolina Pantoliano

I hope Denisa will rock Paris, and I put out special warnings for Viviane and Catherine McNeill. My wild cards for Paris are Eva Arlauskaite and Luize Salmgrieze.

I edited to add Georgia to the list, but then I edited her out again. She hasn't done that great in Milan (she wasn't even at Dolce despite being in campaign :ermm: ), and I'm not sure Paris will like her. But of course she has more of a profile than someone like Alyona or Kasia, so she'll probably end up on list anyway..

^Georgia is out for me temporarily as well - she didn't book Alberta Ferretti, either...just Burberry and Anna Molinari in Milan so far!

^ I didn't notice about Ferretti. If she only did those two all week I'm wondering if she maybe made a deal with them to go "semi-exclusive".

To be fair, there were very few new faces in either D&G or Dolce. Though I am really surprised that Georgia wasn't there. Its not like she's Tayla Collins and looks awful on the runways. The general trend for both D&G and Dolce, was the most established models out there, with a few of their regulars. She's still on my list but hardly as high up as she used to be.

Another thing that is concerning me is Olga Sherer's previous season work. While she opened Marc Jacobs this season, thus making her apparent to those that weren't fans already, she's been doing some Paris shows for a few seasons now. I really do worry that we'll have the same Han Hye Jin/Daiane Conterato situation all over again with Olga Sherer. Its the same reason that keeps prohibiting me from adding Anna Barsukova to my list, because she's been around for many a season now.

Also, this season really is filled with more new faces than we've had in a long time. There are so many gorgeous girls compeating for those few breakout spots, that this is really becoming quite hard at this point.

Hot List :woot: :
Kasia Stuss, Johanna Strickland, Irina Kulikova, Carolina Pantoliano, Olga Sherer, Georgia Frost

Watch List B) :
Johanna Jonsson, Diana Moldovan, Laragh McCann, Catherine McNeil, Sheila Marquez, Serafima Vakulenko, Viviane Orth, Danielle Hamm, Jourdan Dunn

^ That's very strange. I think Georgia is weak on the runway, but she only booked two shows in Milan? Dolce, ok... but for instance Ferretti didn't exactly have a super cast and still their campaign star didn't make the lineup? And why no other shows? How strange. It will be interesting to see what happens in Paris...

I'm finding it hard to come up with predictions. There are simply too many faces out there for me to remember and keep track off

I hope that Carolina Pantoliano, Sheila Marquez and Rachel Clark have a stellar season in Paris.

It is hard. I think there are a few shoo-ins, but the competition for the remaining spots is fierce! And besides, style.com often make one of two funny or unexpected choices anyway... I wouldn't be too surprised if they finally noticed Han this season. :D Or include someone like Jourdan Dunn, who didn't have the best show record but still made an impact [imo].

haha I'm just going by your list for now on! Although I would add Rachel Clark since she has been in some pretty big shows, if I recall.
