She got the cover of the SI swimsuit issue and has been a fixture of that magazine since 2001, as well as appearing in Perfect 10 (a classier nudie mag). She's also had numerous men's mag covers. She may not be fashion, but everyone I talk to knows her name.

She definitely is fashion or at least did her fair share of it, including being in VOGUE magazine, having an ed there, Marie Claire and other mags. 'HF chicks' sometimes appear in 'mens mags' too. Im so fed up with people here bashing all VS models and praying for their 'HF icons' - as if anyone knows those HF names at all ! ugh

And yes, Marisa is well known - at least in USA.Thats a fact.

I agree with Couture Chic, whether all these 'HF fans' want it or not when it comes to VS we - those who know and like VS - know much better. And Adriana as well as other models will be there for a while longer. Its so funny to read all that VS hate and VS models hate and in the end of the day all these haters come stalk VSFS thread here in the hopes to see 'their fave HF chick' walk the show ! UGH.

Oh god, Marisa is a commercial model. I dunno about you guys, but I can't imagine her doing Chanel HC. She's done a little bit of HF work (every model has in some way or form), but she's mainly commercial. She's done loads of catalogue stuff and she's had tons of covers.

Dumping Adriana..... it ain't gonna happen. I don't like her, but I won't deny she's the main face of VS. The whole 5 year contract thing, comeback blah, blah etc. etc., you better believe she ain't going nowhere. Neither is Alessandra. I'll admit, I'm tired of seeing them everywhere on the VS website and would like som fresher faces to be exposed more (Candice, Hilary, Maryna, Cat etc.), but there's nothing you can do about it.

Emanuela doesn't a celebrity BF, I think she has a BF, but he ain't a celeb.

Adriana is a good spokesperson, but I wouldn't describe her as the best. The problem, I would say is her speech. I sometimes find it hard to understand and listen to what she's saying, same with Alessandra & Doutzen. I thought Selita was great and Marisa is good as well.

For the show I'd love either Alessandra or Miranda to open and close and Marisa to wear the F.B. I think Rosie will get more attention this year. I think she has a VS contract, so hopefully VS will use her to her full potential.

Doutzen&Miranda are the 2 models who have the biggest career outside VS (along with Heidi)

Agree with everything, but I'd actually put Adriana with the biggest careers outside of VS as well, considering all her work with Givenchy, and everything she's working on and will work on when she gets back from maternity leave as well.

I think it all depends on your personal taste, when it comes to the angels. Heidi IMO is past her prime, and just needs to leave the angel squad, she's to famous for the company if that makes sense. Adriana is their top selling girl, she moves tons of units and is very very in demand with the public (she gets the most people at her signings when compared to the other angels) Alessandra is popular as well and is a rising star and will continue. Doutzen I think will continue to rise, I'm a little worried about her though as the public in the US doesn't seem to be latching on to her as much as the past Angels. Marisa is the all american girl with boobs, and a lot of men like that she tends to pull in quite the fan base as well....like I said all personal prefrence. I think all of them have big careers and do well for what they do, and I don't think any of them depend on VS at all anymore.

^ I think Adriana should add to that list either.. but as the biggest, not sure about that! Doutzen had 4 campaigns and more than 1 vogue cover this year alone.. but Adriana def should add to the big career outside VS.

I understand your opinion about Heidi and to be honest.. I agree with that.. it's time for Heidi to go. She doesn't do any catalog/website shoots and she doesn't do anything promotion unless it's VSFS or launches around the show.. other than that she doesn't do anything that has to do with VS. And I don't think it's fair she has the Angel-status anymore! She's the best spokeswoman but there are more models who are just as great as she is!! She had her time and now it's time for someone else to shine....

I don't think any of the angels have had bigger careers outside of VS. They all have something going on other than VS. Adriana has Givenchy, Doutzen has L'Oreal, Emanuela has Next, Miranda has David Jones, Marisa has Harley Davidson, Heidi has GNTM & PR & Alessandra has a new swimsuit campaign (can't remember what it's called). I don't think any of the angels just do VS and VS only. Also, each of them have different covers, eds etc. etc. coming out as well.

Heidi.... she's flown her 'wings' (they are actually giant bows & snowflakes), now it's time for her to put them away.

Yes, it would be nice.. but at this moment I really have no clue who gets the bra. If it wasn't Ale's 10th anniversary next year I would say Ale...but right now I think the biggest chance is Marisa..but who knows...

^ I agree, she isn't great on the runway.. but she is a great model and spokeswoman for VS. Adriana & Heidi won't get the bra this year. Ale will most likely wear it next year.. so Marisa is the one who works the longest for VS. So it's just fair that she'll get to wear the bra... but the fact that Ale didn't get the bra at all says enough about how VS can be suprising.. so I think every Angel could be in the race to wear it...

I think it's mid to late October, for the castings.

Marisa isn't a runway model. She's more of a print model. I agree, she isn't a great walker. Still love her, though.

Yep, Marisa isnt the best walker, she is a good walker ( ive seen worse HF girls' walk) and Id have a print model over a runway queen anyday, at least with that I can always have eds and amazing photos.

^ No not few days before the show??? Few days before the show they will do fittings right? Casting is usually a month before the show??

And Marisa was really better last year! When she opened the 2nd segment she did a really good job..in the 3rd segment it wasn't all that but still better than in 2007..
