Watching the old shows, the models were more mature and had personality, now they all seem too young and inexperienced. A lot of them are forgettable. It's like they'll cast just about anybody nowadays.
All these women replaced by...preschoolers

It's a weird year, but it's a transitional year. There will be some of these random models who will become major stars over the next couple of years. Remember when Miranda and Rosie first started VS? They were super young, too. Then they blossomed.

Yeah but still the caliber of the models are not the same. They do these ever 5 or 4 years.2005 was full of new model and what models they were top of the top. Julia stegner, Natasha, Doutzen, Izabel, Morgan, Tatiana, Eugina, Caroline I mean all so unique and still young but very womanly. But ohh well thing do changes it is what is.if VS wanted to still do sexy they will still do it there are a legit group of models that could have walk the show and keep the same level as the 2003,05,06 shows.

Now is all about casting directors doing favors to ppl thar they know.

I can't get over her face, it does nothing for me. Worst was a strong word (you're completely right modelista all of those girls were far worse), I think I meant overrated since so many people here on tfs just go apeshit over Morgane.

Jessica White's walk was atrocious, but that body and face were superb. She was a real let down once we saw her in action.

The bolded part is the main point for me. In 2005 Pink wasn't part of the show and casting for Pink has had a huge effect on type of models that walk for VS now.

Not really. Back then the new models who got casted all could walk, pose and were sexy beautiful (young) woman. There is nothing wrong with new young models as long as they can walk, pose and look like woman not like young schoolgirls. Allthough there were some excellent casting like Joan, Toni, Romee, Bregje, Jac, Immaan, Devon but there are to much miscastings. Yumi, Maud (should be totally banned from runway, that's not sexy but creepy), Kylie, Jessica Hart, Dorothea.Those girls would not stand a chance back in 2005.
There are only 4 total bombshells left, wel actually 3 with Doutzen gone. Only Candice, Ale and Adriana. Back then every angel was a bombshell. For printwork I don't mind Karlie, Lily as angels but in the show I do.

I miss those day's. Ana BB, Rosie, Eugenia, Tatyana (damn so gorgeous), Natasha, Raquel, Miranda, Gisele, Tyra, Selita and Morgane.
@Marsnoop2: there was nothing wrong with Morgane if you ask me. She can walk, pose and I find her cute in a mature way.

They took out scenes with Lindsay and replace them with scenes with Candice (about 2---so more Candi ); Doutzen is still in the commercial ink: ; Behati is not in it although she is the SAS model (perhaps not enough time or budget constraints from London show?) ; Adriana still in it

I wouldn't count Kylie as being "cast" - she won that stupid mini model search and was just as quick to disappear as the other girl when they pulled that same mess in 2007 - in fact, I can't even think of her name, not even her first name. Dorothea, Jacquetta Wheeler, Michaela Kocianova, Cameron Russell are my miscast choices. Dorothea is weird and awkward on the runway; Maud isn't anywhere near as bad. Jacquette and Michaela I just don't think they were VS material. Cameron just looks old to me, with a bad walk and on her second outing with the show my opinion still didn't change. It's like how Sigrid was completely forgettable last year but this year redeemed herself. Cameron didn't do that. Speaking of old, while Shannan Click wasn't miscast, I don't understand how they kept sticking her in Pink when she was like in her late 20's going into her 30's all the times she walked for the show.

Definitely not THE worst.. but Lara Stone was such a disappointment.. total VS material.. star power.. body.. face.. but her walk and pose were cringe-worthy for telecast.

Yeah, Lara was a excellent casting in terms, but she dissapointed. She looked really insecure and uncomfortable to me.

I agree, Lara had it looks wise but her walk and attitude just didn't work. It does look like she at least tried in one outfit, but generally she had that angry high fashion look she always had and looked like she was too focused on not falling

About miscasts (I have a feeling that is not even a word ), Lara was one of the biggest runway failures. I knew walking wasn`t her best asset, but honestly I thought she had always had wrong size shoes for shows since she has the smallest feet, I`ve heard. I agree with everyone she was really awkward and uncomfortable looking. It just did not work.

I liked Morgane, I even found her because of VSFS, she is really cute. I guess the show peaked 2005-2006 for me and ever since it has not been the same, because I have set that standard.

Does anyone else think Behati was totally channeling Gisele vibes when she opened? If only she had not smirked at all and walked with just a bit more confidence, it would have been a perfect opening.
