This years casting choices make me cringe.
So many unknown girls...can't believe IT (and gorgeous) girls like Vittoria Ceretti or Faretta were not even called for casting.
And what about missing #BODYBYIZA? I'm shook and loss of words...same consideration applies for Bianca. These two beautiful woman got stunning body, confidence, sex appeal and also a quite decent social media following yet they ignored them.
Of course Kendull and the other two will show up at the show, do you guys seriously think they go to castings? They are called on request for EVERY show they do, both high fashion and commercial...what a same

I don't think Vitto or Faretta went to castings, I watched Vitto's IG livestream one day and she said she isn't interested in doing another VSFS casting, but then again Mayowa said the same thing, did the casting and is doing the show.

Also really surprised by Izabel, she's as dedicated as ever and for VS to reject her is pure blasphemy, but I do agree with a reply on one of the previous pages - at one point, that dedication has to stop, especially if you aren't getting much in return.

I actually wouldn't be surprised at this point if Candle/Gigabyte/Doorbell/Haystack weren't confirmed for the show. 60 models already seems like so much, and I'm sure rumors would be swirling around like there's no tomorrow, but I haven't heard much yet. I also wouldn't be surprised if they magically showed up at fittings, but the chances are pretty slim.

As for Senait, I was the one who posted the tweet with the walk video (video a few posts above) with a caption surrounding white privilege, LMAO. Obviously exaggerated, I was enraged when I found out she didn't even get a callback. She's SO perfect for VS, and yet Mackinley Hill was chosen for a callback over her. And I agree, Aiden Curtiss isn't the most striking, but I think she suits PINK very well.

I really hope that they announce that Ming Xi, Xiao Wen Ju, Sui He, or Liu Wen will be joining the Angels lineup this year. It makes sense for them to have an asian model as part of the main group.

I actually don't mind her, and want to see how she'll do on the runway, but she got the spot because her mom.

When they added Kendall and Gigi the ratings dropped a huge 30% then a little more last year in Paris. So maybe they realize the VS brand is more important than an instagirl or maybe with lower ratings they can't afford them.do they get paid? Although I still think they'll be there.

Lily D never really did anything for me, she's pretty boring. Joan was ok, she did a good walk but I won't miss her she had a great run.

I assume Kendall, Gigi and Bella won't make it in given the list Armani provided, if so I'm kind of glad that there's so many newbies and no big names, it will really just be all about the official angels which is what it should be about given they have 15 of them and give the newbies a pretty good start up. I'll go look up the newbies and see what they look like.

Anyway I don't care about Lily or Joan. By the way, I'm gonna miss Iza, is kinda shocking that after all these years she's not gonna be there.
I think this year casting is pretty interesting, like it or not there are way more diversity than others years and that's great! I'm at peace with most of the newbies.

I am SHOOK that Ms Joan Smalls wasn't in it. She didn't go to castings or call-backs, even, so it's not like she tried out and didn't make the cut.

But #BodyByIza!!!!! She will be absolutely gutted and devastated that she didn't get cast this year.

I DO kinda see what they're doing, though. And I have to say, I can't really blame them. They're clearly trying to make the major focus on the ANGELS. No distractions from other industry veterans or Instagirls, etc.

Seems like Daphne and Senait are too striking, so the lingerie won't be the main point there.

Therefore they aren't casted.

For me, VS should all be about sensuality and femme fatale.

This year's cast is a step in the right direction but there is still a very long way to go.

When will they get some taste though ugh...

As most of all, I agree that it seems like they want to focus on the angels and I think it's a good thing. No insta models and such, what a delight! This is overall a satisfying cast, especially in terms of diversity (wow!). It still lacks a bit of sex appeal for me (girls like Isabeli Fontana, Maryna Linchuk, Bregje Heinen...), and it's clear that they want something "young and fresh". The only very random names for me are Dasha Khlystun, Vanessa Moody, Julia Belyakova and Victoria Lee. I'm very excited about Julia, though.

I very much agree with you, Valentine. I love the diversity, and the focus on the Angels, but I wish there was still more bombshell material at the show.
