^Where does it come from after all?
The show is in China, why don't they bring up (at least) an Asian performer? I'm so over the same artists every year. It's too easy. I want some surprises, someone new to the show.

I'm not surprised at Elsa Hosk getting the Swarovski outfit. I don't like it, though.

I wouldn't mind Josephine Skriver opening the show. She has a good energy, I'm sure she would do great!

I found it on Instagram but Im sure it originally came from another media platform. Are there any American artists that are huge in China? Or Chinese artists huge in America? I dont know of many, unfortunately.

As for the Swarovski outfit, its definitely not the worst, but i HATE HATE HATE when VS makes the outfits so overly busy, and thats exactly what the SO is. The wings itself looks like 3 wings layered on top of eachother, not to mention all the accessories and her horrible shoes. It looks messy. And the same goes for the Balmain X VS collection.

The VS robe has the color Millennial Pink listed. We know that the ONLY segment that has an unknown name is the Millennial segment. It would make sense for that segment to be the PINK segment as the PINK segment always has the word Pink in the segment name. Therefore... Im almost positive the segment is Millennial Pink.

EDIT: I said Millennial Pink was the Pantone color of the year LMAO. It isnt but Ive seen the Millennial Pink color a lot often.

Sophia Neophitou (10magazine) liked a post regarding the performers pic above and the Taylor, Harry and Katy photos that are used in the photo. Maybe those three really are the performers? If so.... this is reality show level drama LMAO.

China wouldn’t grant the Russian models visas, so none of them are walking. This means Kate G, Irina S, Julia B are all out, as well as Dasha K who is Ukrainian.

This was confirmed by Kate G on her VK.

Thats horrible. Imagine working so hard to walk the show to not get granted a visa... Ill miss Kate this year, but she also confirmed on VK shed only get one outfit again, didnt she?

It must be even worse for Julia and Dasha who finally achieved their greatest dream of walking the VS show but lost it in the snap of a finger.

Does anyone have any idea what will happen to their outfits because they wont wear it? Will it just be another Behati/Lais in 2012? And if they get casted the following year will they recieve some privilege from the VS team in return?

Also, will Dasha still walk because she’s Ukranian? I was really excited to see her, not only because shes drop dead gorgeous and the VS show would be the big break she deserves but shes also the first model with heterochromia (different colored eyes) to walk the VS show!

EDIT: Dasha just dmed vsecretnews saying she didnt get a visa.

Yes, I saw that and I can't believe it. What a letdown. Imagine the frustration! You're getting ready, about to fly over there and bam, no visa granted at the very last minute. I was curious to see Dasha Khlystun and Julia Belyakova for their first time, and of course Kate G again. Now I want to know how VS team is going to handle the situation. I guess they were prepared for something like this to happen. But I wonder if they'll just give the outfits to other girls?

Eek. Thats the only girl we dont know is walking the mainline or PINK, I believe. Shes gorgeous as well but doesnt perform very well on the runway last time I checked Wasnt someone on this thread calling her Boring Moody?

Regardless, I feel horrible for her as well, working so hard to finally get this show and having the joy of being confirmed for the show and not getting a visa for the biggest show of your life.

If it is confirmed that Vanessa will still go, then Ill change the list and add her back in. Jourdan and Lily D werent spotted at fittings though... it would be really weird if they were the replacements.

this is both embarrassing and shameful.

Lais has a lot more privilege (? probably not the best word usage) in this case...Lais has been working with the brand since 2010, which gives her more experience, not to mention VS ADORED her since the beginning. Sure, nowadays she's pushed under the rug, but her getting the FB - and one of the most beautiful ones - is a sign that maybe they aren't trying to diminish her presence.

lais did start with vs in 2010 but jas started the next year. and while everyone's mediocre fave elsa was stuck in pink hell in 2011, jas was shooting mainline and so much more with the brand that her contributions to the brand are quite evident in the intro videos they created back when all the new angels were first introduced. youtube it. jas' contributions stand out in stark contrast to everyone else who had a vid, with lais' vid coming in second.

-jas has had a solo commercial for the 'scandalous' fragrance that i think was nationally televised?
-she's had 2 fragrance campaigns (way less than the other models but i think she and lais are the same on that? based on mdc).
-jas' had (1) solo event/meet and greet (again way less than she deserves compared to other models who haven't accomplished as much) but more than lais and she's also had more multi-girl store events/press events
-she's a regular for both mainline campaigns, the boring catalog shots, vs sport and for swim when they had it
-jas was featured in the first swim special (lais wasn't) and was featured for like 10 seconds in the 2nd (and lais was probably featured for like 5 secs)
-she's shot 2 tv appearances for them - hawaii 5-0 with behati (and she wasn't even an angel then - why didn't lais get that) and life in pieces last year
-she was the first of the new angels to get the fantasy bra (and was the most deserving based on everything above/the intro video)

and vs still didn't give jas her proper moment to shine during last yrs broadcast to millions but wanted to prop up far less talented 'models'

this is not to pick on lais. quite the contrary, lais deserves a solo campaign and commercial just like jas. they both deserve more. i'd love for jais to have a commercial, just them, but vs just started shooting them together (and actually releasing the material) this year, so i doubt that's going to ever happen. but they'll put 3 blonds in the same commercial and won't think twice about it

so if vs wouldn't give jas a big moment last yr (both by taking away her closing and not giving her a video segment) what makes you think lais is going to get treated any differently? it's honestly a miracle that lais even has the fb, if we're being completely honest.

i can't see the future but i'm not holding my breath on any special treatment for lais. you can think differently but as for me, i'm lowering my expectations accordingly.
