Victoria's Secret Etc, Etc (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

Victoria's Secret Spring 2008 (March Edition)

1. The BioFit collection will "officially" launch in stores and in the catalog on March 4th. The bra collection features personalized padding and shaping for each individual cup size. There might be a commercial for this collection--if yes, then it will most likely feature Karolina and Adriana.

2. New VS Garden scent, Sweet Daydream. The scent has a blend of apples, raspberries, and vanilla. Adriana is featured in the marketing.

3. New Very Sexy High Definition Mascara

4. Purchase with Purchase: With any $30 beauty purchase, for $10 you can get a demin duffle bag w/ a sample size of the PINK fragrance and a full-size Slice of Heaven Beauty Rush lipgloss.

5. New limited edition PINK fragrance, Isle of Pink. The fragrance has a blend of raspberry sorbet, tulips, and vanilla. Available March 18th.

6. Intimissimi products will be available on victoriassecret.com (and maybe in the catalog too.)

7. IN APRIL: Dream Angels bra launch. The bra collection is made out of memory foam for a personalized fit.

^The store at my mall was a test store for the Dream Angels bra, and one of my managers got it and LOVES it. Also, are some stores being test stores to carry some of the swimwear?

Plus I think there still might be a free Pink dog with any Pink purchase going on; however in some markets (mine included) it's a dog tag.

Does any body know when they are giving the denim duffle bag away?
Anyone know how big the denim duffle bag is?
What is memory foam?
What is intimissimi?

intimissimi is a lingerie brand for men and women, its from the same owners of VS but they sell it in more places not only USA;)

^Memory foam is what made the Tempurpedic mattresses so famous, there's also slippers that have it in there. I imagine it makes it quite comfortable.

VS does not own Intimissimi---Calzedonia does. VS just has an exclusive contract w/ Calzedonia to carry Intimissimi products :)

no I was talking about Limited brands! hahaha dont they own VS, intimissimi, Calezdonia la senza etc??

^ I work for the Limited Brands and from my knowledge I don't think they own Intimissimi (Calezdonia)

Yeah because the store at my mall had a sign about the swimwear, and I had heard that it was something that wasn't really carried at many stores in the past.

As far as I know, Limited Brands only owns La Senza and VS out of those however you never know what could happen.

ooh ok, i wasnt sure about it hahaha but i thought soo, since they sell their stuff in their stores hahah but ok thnx for clearing that for me!;)

'Sexy' a four-letter word for Victoria's Secret chief
Posted Feb 28th 2008 1:54PM by Sarah Gilbert

"SEXY." The capital letters blared at me from the window of Victoria's Secret in Pioneer Place here in Portland. Next to the clean lovely windows of the Apple store, I felt I almost had to shield my eyes, to protect me from the glare. The mannequin dressed in a red bustier seemed more Elvira than Rebecca Romijn, the sweet face of Victoria's Secret when I was a loyal customer in my early 20s.

I'm not the only one turned off by the company's recent focus on sexy above all else. In rather shocking statements during this morning's Limited Brands Inc. (NYSE: LTD) analyst call, Victoria's Secret CEO Sharen Turney said the company has "gotten too much off our heritage" and was "too sexy," no longer the ideal "ultra-feminine."

With black lacquer and shocking pink decor, the "s" word thrown around like neon signs in a red-light district, and rather unsubtle displays, this isn't my mother's Victoria's Secret.

It's not even my Victoria's Secret -- I remember all my friends in high school would save their allowance to afford their girly satin floral underwear and romantic pajamas. Turney plans to change all that, emphasizing seductive over sexy, remodeling and enlarging stores, and "continuing to reinvent" the annual fashion show.

Will the return to girl-next-door and banishment of lady-of-the-night mean a change in Limited Brands' profitability? I think it has potential, although the cost might be more than I'm comfortable with. Standard & Poor's is threatening to reduce the company's debt ratings to "junk" status, and the stock has been on a steady downward trend. It closed today at $15.85, down $1.97, or 11.05%, within striking distance of its 52-week low of $14.82 on January 11.

I actually think that there is a compromise available. I would prefer if they did some more feminine stuff, but a lot of it is just available online. However many people don't want the ultra-feminine. For example, I noticed the contrast from the store at my mall, which is a new design with the black lacquer et al, and then a mall downtown which is the old design with the light pink and so forth-and I definitely like the newer one better. It's a case of evolving with the times. I'm certainly not giving up my Very Sexy bras.

I have been searching all around the internet for the names of designers (or designer) who work for VS. Who is creative director of VS? Maybe it´s stupid question...

Charlotte Stockdale and Todd Thomas I believe. They designer the collections and clothes for the models to wear at events...like the AAA tour or the walk of fame events.
