VS' First Overseas Store

Victoria's Secret first overseas store will be in Hong Kong. Where in HK it will be located and when will it open, I have am not sure yet. I know it is in the near future because it is being planned right now.

Is it just me or have they started early this year? The countdown to mid Novemeber starts now!

They always start around this year...they shoot the fantasy bra in late June early NY, and the girls began shooting the Christmas Catalog in April. Because August is when most of the girls take a vacay. So this time a year isn't that big of a surprise. Like I said in other forums...I'm wondering if they will do it outside and during the day...that would explain the big push of the swim wear this year. I wonder what events they will do to push it like they did in LA...I'm guessing a store signing of some sorts.

I think the big question of the year is if Ale will be there.

And that is the way that fashion goes, they have to get everything shot and ready for the millions of catalogues, adverts, preparing marketing, you name its. Holiday is after all the biggest season for VS (in my opinion). It will be interesting moving the show to Miami-and I almost think that moving the show to VH1 would be a good thing. Either that, or have them do a swimwear show in the spring. Alessandra being in the show is highly unlikely, and that is fine by me. I have a feeling that this year, Adriana will get the bra, well either her or Miranda. Then the models will be more mature and ethereal IMO, and not the in-your-face sex appeal. More Noemie Lenoir is appreciated, and I want to see Ajuma, Alek, Ai, Eugenia M., Natasha...a wide variety of models, with a more regal air about them.

CBS Brings Back Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

2008 Edition of the Show Will Take Place at Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach.

CBS ordered another installment of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the network announced Friday.

The 2008 edition of the show will take place at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach this fall, and will feature a holiday theme.


As in previous editions of the show there will be red carpet coverage, model profiles and musical performances in between the models showing off the lingerie maker’s new wares on the catwalk.


Models confirmed for this year’s show include Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller and Miranda Kerr.

DAmmit if that note was from last year show I wouldnt care about that models confirmed part, but ale not beeing in that list makes me afraid of her not walking the runway!!

Ale baby bump is quite big and beutifull now, there is no way she will be there...

I heard talks - actually I saw an interview with a big VS executive -about VS trying to get Doutzen for a while and she refused for the longest time... Now that they got her and she is such a predominat fashion model I bet they will give her a very good spot.

Agreed. It seems to have gone downhill since 2005 I think as far as costumes and themes go. As for the models they need to stop filling it up with bronzed leggy Brazilans (Gisele can't be replaced, no matter how hard they try) and get some variety like Trista said. I'd much rather see Natasha stalking down the runway and little actions like Rosie's kiss last year and Natasha's salute the year before than Adriana flapping her arms like crazy, pointing and making silly faces constantly. Energy is good....hyperactive isn't! Oh, and bring back Ana Beatriz!

Because the Victoria's Secret Pre-Show thread grew rapidly to a total of 400 pages last year and became very hard to moderate, we have decided to not allow seperate threads on the 2008 Victoria's Secret show untill after S/S 09 fashion week. We do not start discussing castings for fashion week untill a month before the show season so we see no reason in discussing the casting of the Victoria's Secret show 6 months prior to it. And on that note, please minimalise any discussion on models you would or would not like to see at the show untill there is a seperate thread for it. This thread will remain a place for everything else surrounding the brand and show.

We realise that some of you may not like this, but we see no reason in making exceptions for the Victoria's Secret show compared to the real fashion weeks. Ugh, HK....


I hope the second store they open overseas is going to be in Germany, I want so much to work for VS ! They really have to go to Germany (Berlin), Europe is a huge market too. ( And no, LaSenza or LaSenza UK in this case doesnt cover it ).
