I think that they really want models who are genuinely excited to BE a VS Angel -- like, girls who are living for the "family of VS" and have happily and enthusiastically bought into all the branding and company cheerleading of VS.

Look at the Instagram accounts of Taylor, Sara, Elsa, Jasmine, etc. These girls are reeeaaallly giving their best efforts to be brand representatives for Victoria's Secret. Look at Jac's Instagram account? She just never seemed all that comfortable being the face of that brand. Compare her to Josephine and it's a no-brainer who's going to better represent the company.

How is Taylor Swift controlling the VS line up...? Her friends in the line up are Martha and Lily, and they both were working with VS long before she got involved.

I guess I phrased it wrong, I just feel that VS has a bit of a soft spot for models with celebrity friends, especially after the whole Taylor Swift girl squad thing, and I understand why they do it, it's just that some of these models aren't very good. They're going for popularity over substance and it's like they've lost their prestige because of it.

You're totally right, I loved watching Jac not care about VS (perfect, seriously) but I'd understand why out of all of them she wasn't one to stick around.

I hope Jac still walks the VS show, though, like #bodybyIza. She had a unique presence on that stage. So many girls grew up out of Pink this year - Jac and Ming and Josephine - I was so happy for them. I feel like Pink becomes a prison after a while.

Saw it for 10 minutes while I was flipping through the channels and it was a snooze fest. It looked EXACTLY the same as last year except without Adriana and Ale. When I caught it there was also no Lily, Candice, or Behati. The one thing I did come away with is that Sara Sampaio is breathtakingly beautiful and a lot of the new (non-American) Angels possess really good English.

They focused on the older Angels too to the point that some fans finally realize that they're too many Angels and some of them need to leave.

I tried but couldn't get into it. It had nothing to do with the angels, old or new, it was just a boring show. I guess I'm just used to the VSFS theatrics and was thinking this might be a 1/10th version of it. But it wasn't even that.

Here's one thing that I have noticed recently and I have to admit it's not what I expected.

It does seem that the exposure from being a VS Angel really does still carry weight in the fashion industry. I mean, look at this last fashion season -- 3 of the new Angels were all over the place (Sara, Stella, Taylor). None of them had ever done major fashion shows before and now they're landing Versace, Givenchy, Chanel, etc.

I think Stella and Taylor had HF careers prior to VS. It's Sara who didn't. But I'm happy she's getting booked, altho honestly on the runways, she looks extremely short. she stands out in a bad way. But anyway, good for her.

Well it would only be announced if she was out of the 1st trimester, so even if that's 3 months (being conservative), she'd still give birth in September. Plenty of time to do the show . . . unfortunately . . . Her boobs will be huge so she'll get the Fantasy Bra this year.

Whose contract will end at the end of the year? I feel like Candice is the next one to leave...

I found Sara so annoying at the Swim special, and they were really trying to push her. She was probably the one that had more time on camera while some others like Romee and Vita were totally fillers and barely speaking. I was happy to see a lot of Candice though, she is simply stunning!
