Also don't understand why VS sent promo workout gear to girls they did not end up casting (Pauline H, Yumi, Puleri...). Not that I wanted to see these girls in the show, but it's kinda savage from VS to do that.

I think they just sent it to the girls who were in the show previously. It's not like they sent them out already knowing they were going to cut those girls come castings.

such BS. Shes allowed an automatic invite? Thats a bit of a slap in the face to other girls that went to castings and probably have been preparing to walk all for Cara to just get an automatic invite as an apology?

The casting of VSFS has gone so downhill over the past few years that I actually think they should just ditch the castings completely and invite girls to walk instead, especially girls like Natasha, Madga, Anja, Lily, Doutzen, Carmen etc.

The fact that this show is in Paris at the Grand Palais yet has mediocre casting and mediocre segments shows that they're out of touch. The ratings might be good but my god it's turned into a circus rather than a fashion show.
This year's show could have been amazing but instead it'll blend into every other show that has occurred from 2010 onwards.

They need to go through their archives of 2003, 2005, 2006 shows and look at the energy and walks of the women then as opposed to the girls now.

I've been watching the new Angels' social media posts on Coachella and was wondering: am I the only one bored with most of them? They just try way too hard and aren't very interesting...at all. To be honest the only two I'm not totally bored with are Elsa (for her style) and Stella (at least she has some sort of attitude). At least the older ones aren't this annoying! ink:

it's cause they're just trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. There's just nothing that makes these girls unique. I mean, they're all gorgeous obviously and they seem like lovely young women. But where's the FLAIR. Where's the thing that makes them genuinely captivating? They're all trying to portray the same character. It's boring! Variety is the spice of life.

Yup. I was sad to see Martha go down that route, I used to think she was a lot cooler when her main friends group was Sheila, Kasia, Jacquelyn, Freja etc. Now she just looks like another VS bimbo. I don't mind Stella, you are right, she does have attitude!

Some models walk the show for free or almost for free, at least that's what I've heard. The VSFS is extremely competitive and is seen as the biggest fashion of the year (exposure wise). Most of their "wage" is trade. They receive a lot of VS products to promote the show on their social media accounts.
But this needs to be confirmed by a verified source.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is true. These models get huge exposure walking the show. That in itself "pays" better than any paycheck in the long run.
