Gigi apologized on her Weibo page for the incident but people are still leaving a ton of comments everywhere about it.. I wonder if VS would drop her for it. I also wonder if people a genuinely offended by her actions or if they're just trolling her hard at this point.

I doubt VS would drop her from the show for this (I doubt they even know. honestly, and VS has been problematic in the past as well). 15000 comments is a hell of a lot... and the comments are along the lines of "You still aren't welcome! If you're in Shanghai we'll [insert threat here]!"

I think some have started a petition and even written to the Chinese government to ban her from entering the country again. Hopefully it will die down but it seems that some people are very angry...

Ed unfollowed #BodyByIza, Joan, and TakoNats today. Tako has so much fans, but Tako isn't very professional about the situation. She uploaded a video outside a VS store where she says "Go ahead! I'll wait outside" with a stink face to her friend in her native language. Her fans are threatening Ed too...

I've always questioned why only Ed receives all the threats and not Monica/Sophia/John. I know Ed's the main man, the head, but he isn't the only VS casting director either.

According to Wikipedia the 2005 show was on November 9 and aired December 6, so presumaly about 3 weeks to a month.

Wow what a difference compared to now! Now it seems they always want to rush it (and it obviously shows...) I don't really get why they do though. I know nowadays everything has to go fast but still, wouldn't they rather take a little longer to edit and have a good end result than rush everything?

Yes, they are. It seems like Shu Pei for sure isn't walking, but still no confirmation. We haven't seen Bee at fittings, but she's confirmed both by VS and by CBS still, so either she had a secret fitting or went in early/late (Fantasy Bra, anyone?)
Everyone was spamming poor Ed's comments when they found out Tako made callbacks with "#VSFS2017TAKO!!!!! SHE NEEDS TO MAKE THE SHOW!!!" and once they found out she got rejected they came after everyone. Now that Ed's unfollowed her, they're flaming mad and threatening him. Sad...

Her ig is @takonats, if that's the girl you're looking at. Nope, not getting confused, and I don't get the hype at all either. Apparently, her native country is Georgia, and Georgians love her bc she's a decently successful Georgian model, and Georgia doesn't get much representation in the industry (assumption).

Ed refollowing them all is probably just a PR move in response to his poor comments to stop them all from threatening him. I honestly feel bad, who went on an unfollow tracker site and found out Ed even did this?

UPDATE: Just checked Ed's IG and it seems he's deleted all comments surrounding Joan, #BodyByIza and TakoNats...

I think that Hilary, Joan, Lily, #BodybyIza and other models who are in their league didn't get it because this year they wanted to give the chance to less known models, those who are more in the beginning of their career. I can support that, but those girls better bring it.

I want either Candice or Behati to get the FB.

As for this takonats girl, she may not have gotten VS this year, but with threatening Ed she will never get anywhere near VS. And she could possibly lose other work as well.
Rejection can always hurt but this is crazy.

Ed should stick to his guns, a man like him should not be on instragram and give in to comments. If he needs a warning in his bio, its time to stay way. Ignore the comments and post a pic of all the angels.

Didn't Joan post something with her middle finger up and saying she was over it then deleted it? She had a good run, off she goes.
Izabel was so lucky, she ran her time and went further than anyone else, she should have been cut off after 2009 at the latest. Their time is up. Im glad they are moving forward with new faces.

VS needs to continue to be an innovator in the modeling world which they have so far with the new angels, they need to find new models and nurture them, Joan, Lily, Izabel and all the other oldies won't cut it. They already peaked. let them go.

I want the next show to be in Brazil and give Alessandra and Adriana a send off... they don't work much for VS but they give the company a certain credibility and a tie to the old modeling world.

Let Candice carry the torch... but at the same time both Alessandra and Adriana are basking in on their contracts with minimal work while obligating their duties. A shoot here and there... Alessandra goes to the gym in LA with VS wear, Adriana does the holiday commercial, in a way Alessandra and Adriana are more than just models, they're ambassadors for the brand in every aspect of their careers and lives. Candice needs to learn that and take advantage, Behati is lost, the new angels can take a cue or two.

She doesn't really look like a model-model as much as one of those instagirls who date men to hang out on a yacht and vacation all the time.

A lot of deserving models didnt get casted for VS. And most of them are taking it in stride and not making a huge deal about it. Having your followers threaten VS casting directors is just crazy.

Yeah, I agree with VS not wanting to handle models with attitude. Makes 100% sense, knowing Iza is notorious for having a shady attitude backstage, and the post and deletes from Jourdan and Joan + Tako's insane followers (as well as her shady VS store snap)... Sad how they're responding to all of this. Iza and Isabeli seem to be living their best life in Venice, on the other hand.

I agree with Tako actually having a big following. They casted Xin Xie, who only has 2k on IG, Julia has 8k, and Dasha's IG got hacked and she can't get it back, so her new one has 600 followers. I don't think they care about followers anymore, considering Kendall and Hailey are both done for and they rejected Iza with 4m. They seem to love the Hadids, regardless of following, while Kendall was always a last minute addon for the extra Kardashian Kash. + don't forget LOTS of models buy followers to gain recognition that way i.e. Snejana.
