Victoria's Secret Etc, Etc (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

According to AngelsVSDaily on Instagram, the models in the For Love & Lemons x VS Holiday Collaboration campaign are...

Tami Williams
Solange van Doorn
Ophelie Guillermand
Edita Vilkeviciute (!!! Haven't seen her do anything VS related in nearly a decade now, no? *EDIT* She shot for some catalogs in mid-2013 including Swim, oops. It's still been quite a while since we've seen her in comparison with the other five who I believe have all done shoots for either VS or PINK this year, respectively.)
Valentina Sampaio
Nisaa Pouncey

I'm so excited to see Edita, one of the many who I thought should've been given Angel status over some of the other choices that VS made.

Holiday commercial... was expecting at least all four of the newest Angels. Jeez.

IMO... one of the many things I want back from VS are the iconic, simple yet sensual advertisements. From Adriana Lima holding that football during the Super Bowl to the Angels in red tulle skirts passing a present from one to the other to the show itself, I miss seeing what made VS... well, VS, on my television. This commercial is cute, lovable, memorable (to some extent), but it just comes across as more reminiscent of a jewelry ad than anything.

(And it doesn’t really tell a story either... something I usually love to see in fashion commercials.)

Not sure if this is their second holiday campaign? Or not? But it features Taylor, Jasmine (again), Grace and Abby Champion.

So the four five non-angels doing VS Holiday work are Winnie Harlow, Lorena Duran, Birgit Kos, Abby Champion, and Sabina Karlsson.

Seems like Behati and Lily are not Angels anymore, either, but we already presumed this.

And a fifth non-angel... Sabina Karlsson, who worked for PINK a loooong time ago:

Baby Sabina for PINK can be found here: Sabina Karlsson [VS]

Not that anyone didn’t know this by now, but since VS has no idea how to communicate to consumers at this point, we never had an official confirmation that Lily Aldridge is no longer an Angel until now.

Can't say I agree with her "contribution" to the brand. I don't think she ever added anything.

Well thanks to her there was that annoying phase with Taylor Swift performing left and right thus that unbearable squad thing.

She had good interview skills and spoke well but that’s about it, she’s not a very talented model or a breathtaking beauty. Any shot/walk/video she delivered could have been easily done by Alessandra. She was also very nice to all her fellow angels it seemed but when you’re that mediocre there’s no choice but to be nice and get along.

I like this new vibe they’re going for. I never thought of Chiharu as a VS girl, but I like it!

I wouldn’t be surprised if they scrap the whole Angels thing in the near future.

Plenty of people have been looking to cancel Victoria's Secret, regardless of merit this is may be their smoking gun.

This is pretty damning, especially if the Times really has the hard evidence such as those emails as they claim. Doesn't really seem like something you throw around. I just hope there is more information, the article has what seems to be some very important holes in it.

What are the holes? I thought it was quite comprehensive.

VS is dead. It's not coming back, no matter how much they push their new transparency diversity efforts. If any of these models had any sense they would disassociate their names with the brand.

Yeah that's a pretty disparaging article, for sure. But I think it kind of unfairly paints a negative picture of Russell James. Not that I'm a big fan of him or his work, particularly, but it really does seem like the VS models loved him and were always effusive in their praise.

The part about Andi Muise and Ed Razek is so sad. No matter what way you look at it, a top marketing executive should not be engaging in action like that. No wonder Ed "retired." I'm sure he knew this was going to come out.

And don't forget that predators like that are smart. He was never going to act like that with the main angels or higher profile models. These men know who to target.

They were always effusive in their praise of Ed too. The point made in the article was his exploitation of his subjects and even VS - they provided him with free subjects for his overpriced books then he complained about the image being used in a store.
