If you go to VS facebook and look at their events, it shows a meet and greet with Candice Erin Lily

And I agree about VS being very 'hot and cold' with their models. One minute Marisa is wearing the million dollar bra, next she's out. Same goes for Selita and Emanuela and Lindsay. One minute Chanel is everywhere, now nowhere to be seen (not really complaining about that though).

Well, I'm definitely not going then to answer your question. She's probably doing something else. I hope something good. The Incredible fragrance comes out in March and they still have the What Is Sexy? list too.

Chanel did a Pink announcement in Dallas and is at the Super Bowl, and she's doing an in store event in Toronto the same day that Lily, Candice and Erin are doing their's in New York. So sorry to say but she isn't going anywhere

How can you be so sure? Two years ago Emanuela was supposed to be the next big thing for VS, now she barely is associated with them. And btw, promos and launches are really the short end of the stick in VS. Even non-angels participate in launches (a la Lindsay). Chanel's stint with VS is coming to an end. And what does the Super Bowl have anything to do with VS? Not trying to attack you or anything, but you really can't be that sure of something.

You missed where I said a Pink announcement, a VS Pink announcement? For the extension of the NFL line. Just because you want her time with VS to be done doesn't mean that it will. Notice how she's doing her launch alone while the others are grouped together. She doesn't need the back up.

Other than not disliking Chanel (but I am not a stan either), I agree with your entire post and embedded in the contract are promos and launches and IMO launches and store / product events matter far more to a bombshell's / angel's standing within Victoria's Secret than say, the more buzzed about, obsessed over (by myself included) Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In terms of being on good terms within the company, the fashion show is secondary unless you are the host like Heidi or the company is trying to boost your profile like they did with Candice and Chanel when they did segments on them in the last show. As the single biggest fashion event in the world, the VSFS is very important to a non-contract model's career and even though it is the single biggest VS event, I doubt if a bombshell / angel's contract will be in jeopardy if she performs so-so at the VSFS. Even the million dollar bra is becoming less of a big deal within the show itself, with the focus shifting to it being used to score appearances on chat shows.

How this relates to Chanel, hmmm? I did notice that she has not been as visible in recent months as she has been, namely not being in recent commercials or a significant part of the promos for Swim and Valentine's Day, but if she is doing solo appearances, and especially one associated with the Super Bowl (anything associated with the Super Bowl is major), that is a good thing. I wonder if VS is trying to build up a product line / ethos around sports with Chanel being a key part of that effort. I used to think that Chanel is a shoo in to be an angel, and I don't feel as strongly about that as I used to, but then again VS is all about Candice these days, and while I am not sure if VS is as in love with Chanel as they were once upon a time, the signals aren't bad, just mixed, I totally agree with the point of not writing her off yet when it comes to VS.

The fact that she is at the Super Bowl has NOTHING to do with VS. Where has this been mentioned? Yes, she did a launch for the NFL line months ago, but her being at the Super Bowl is not associated with VS. Can anyone give a link to prove else wise?

and as for Lais having a bigger role, I doubt it only because VS seems to be going in a
direction where most of their newer spokespeople are completely fluent in English.
