Just spotted this article in a Dutch online paper, an update on the progress/plans for European stores:

OTTERDAM - Victoria's Secrets heeft een blik topmodellen opengetrokken voor een zeer sexy Valentijnsreclame. In het filmpje showen onder meer Adriana Lima en Candince Swanepoel de nieuwste lingeriesetjes voor de dag van de liefde.

En goed nieuws voor de Nederlandse vrouwen (en mannen binnenkort zijn de niemendalletjes ook te koop in Nederland.

Vorige week werd bekend dat Victoria's Secret haar eerste winkel opent in Europa. Op Schiphol wordt dit najaar een winkel van het lingeriemerk geopend. De winkel gaat zich met name richten op de accessoires rond het beroemde lingeriemerk: panty's, shirts en make-up. In 2012 komt er in Londen een grote flagshipstore die ook de lingerie gaat verkopen.

It basically says Europe's first VS store will be opening this autumn at Schiphol (Amsterdam) Airport, and a large flagship store will open in London in 2012. SO CANNOT wait, I'm at Amsterdam Airport all the time!! It'll be so cool to finally see VS commercials and magazine ads etc in Europe too.

I hope when they open the London flagship store they have UK online shopping as well! The shipping is ridiculous from the US but I love their stuff!

^ They should have that yes - I read last year they were planning to launch a UK online store prior to the London store opening, so if that's still the plan, it should be up and running by the end of the year.

^Alessandra, for sure. She said so. And I'm guessing Adriana, Candice, Rosie, Lily, and Erin. And probably either Lais or Chanel.

The commercial is for the VS Bombshell Bra (honestly if I hear bombshell one more time I may just explode) and it's being filmed in LA.

The footage has the first look at Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the former Victoria's Secret model who was cast as the female lead after Megan Fox left the project. Fox and Bay had both disparaged each other in the press after the second film, "Revenge of the Fallen," so it was not a big surprise that she did not come back for a third. But it was certainly unexpected for Bay to cast Huntington-Whitely, who had no previous acting experience, to take over as the romantic lead. Bay said that he auditioned more experience actresses, but concluded "it was something more interesting to go with something brand new and fresh."

i think whoever wrote that just couldn't comprehend that models can act while modeling. it doesn't necessarily mean she's a "former" VS model if she's doing a movie. but i guess some people think it has to be one or the other, not both.

I'm not a fan of Erin or Lily as spokespersons for VS, but I'm not going out of my way to call them ugly. Erin has a really amazing body. That group shot of them at the event, they look beautiful but I agree that the eyes wonder to Candice.

Today the VS Bombshell Bra commercial is being filmed in LA and it's only featuring Ale and Adriana, finally!! I've been hoping for something with just these two for a while now.

I loved that guy's questions, the one that asked the girls what they think they can bring to VS after they've had people like Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum representing the brand for so long and becoming such icons. The girls seemed so irritated by that question


Funny that Lily and Erin got so many harsh comments in that poll. When watching the live chat it became so clear why VS choses them to do all those press events. Honestly, as sexy and gorgeous Candice is, she's so bad at giving interviews. She never seems to respond to the actual question, she always seems awkward and shy whereas Erin and Lily seem like they enjoy it and and always come across very approachable and funny.

I agree with Psylocke. I felt the same way with Marisa and Selita. People despised them, but I felt that they were the strongest personalities and always excelled in interviews.

Not surprised about the comments about Erin and Lily. Erin is a young, boring Marisa with a nose job. Lily is a low rent Alessandra without the sex appeal and Brazilian charm.

Honestly, Lily is SO random! She popped out of nowhere for the VSFS 2009, and now she's a 'bombshell'. I don't see what VS sees in her. She can give a decent interview, but it ENDS THERE.
